A good way to earn stubs is to play "Moments". It's actually really easy and it's not multi-player. You replay moments. It's usually one at-bat or 1 game where you only bat or pitch. You have to hit a homerun or get 3 hits or a bunch of strikeouts and stuff like that. Have you tried changing the button mapping? Maybe that will be helpful. Go to settings, mode-specific and go down to "player lock button mapping". I use fielder because it's from the fielder's point of view so square is 1st, X is 2nd and circle is 3rd. Sorry if you're on Xbox, I don't know the buttons on Xbox. If it's already on fielder for you then try classic. Maybe it'll help.
You are reading your stats wrong in the beginning, the stat is alreqdy including your boost, you don't add both numbers, you cannot have 90 contact on both and 80 vision and be 59 overall
So this video was informative and all but still didn’t help get the overall rating up. You didn’t mention how progress never takes place when playing all of these games and it doesn’t matter what the stats you have look like, if your overall doesn’t improve then you never get called up. This isn’t how to get to 90ovr it was more like how to play like a 90ovr.
Technically, he did show us how to get our ball player’s attributes up. What he didn’t mention is that there is a glitch to increasing your player load out and attributes ;)
Go to the My Ballplayer screen and go to appearance. Then go to equipment and batting gloves. Change it to both and press options or whatever it is on Xbox. Idk. It's glitches though so every time you go into your loadout it'll reset to one batting glove. I just got into the habit of going into appearance and fixing it every time because that one batting glove drives me nuts! 😂
@@ricolemay2141 I'm thinking that maybe if you load into road to the show with the save for the player you want on your diamond dynasty team then back out of road to the show and go right into diamond dynasty it might load the player in? I'm just guessing. Maybe you've already tried that. I haven't done anything with my ballplayer in diamond dynasty yet so I don't know for sure. I wish I could help you. I'll try to keep you in mind in case I figure out the answer. I have 2 different road to the show players so I might have the same problem. I just don't know yet. I hope you get it figured out though!
It doesn't show the numbers but the boosts definitely work. If you notice in the video, his attributes didn't show the equipment boosts either. He added them together in his head. When you go to loadout and go to player card it shows the boosts from equipment there. The equipment boosts are the top row of numbers above the numbers that are your base numbers plus archetype + perk totals. So top row is equipment boosts only. Second row is base number plus archetype boost plus perk boost. I think it might be intentional that equipment boosts aren't added into the numbers. They show the numbers for your player without equipment boosts so that you know how much your player is actually improving. Otherwise you wouldn't know how much was player improvement and how much was that new glove you just got. But I'm just guessing about that. Either way I do believe equipment boosts work. Try playing a game with no equipment if you think it's not working.
Another tip if you don’t care about your position based off your archetype I use slugger and wanted to play ss got to diamond and wasn’t happy with the team I played for so made a new made him a left fielder best for that archetype and went for a 87 to a 94
@@husainlethal559 how do you change difficulty? i dont think im on a hard difficulty but my PCI is 4X smaller than his PCI in this video and my contact and power is just a bit better than his too. so hard to hit the ball its like my pci is on the hardest difficulty its almost the size of the ball
i changed my rtts characters position and it didn’t update on DD i went from 2nd to catcher and DD made me a left fielder so i won’t play rtts until it’s fixed but i’m coming back to this video if they hopefully fix it
Maybe a dumb question but how do you switch fielding to meter throwing? I’d prefer that over what the default is where you drag the stick over to the target. Idk where that option is
New to MLB The Show? lol That's called "showtime" which is probably why you couldn't find it. The option you want is under fielding and it's called "rtts throwing interface". I use showtime so I'm not sure what each of the others is like. Haven't used any of them in years but there's your setting! lol
You can Sim through the games when it says you'll be pitching. That's what I did. And every time they ask how you feel about being a 2 way I just said I didn't like it. lol Eventually they give you the option to stop.
Equip what? Equipment or perks? Either way the answer definitely yes. You equip all of that stuff under loadout. Once you equip it in your loadout you can to to appearance and change the way it looks under equipment. Everything he did is in rtts. He didn't have to go into diamond dynasty to get to the marketplace. If you're on Playstation just tap the touchpad and hit R1 to go to "My Collection" and choose "My Inventory" or "Community Market". Also right now there's a free starter pack that's really good. To get to that go to "The Show Shop" and go to "buy packs". The first one should be free. There was another one too that I got for free but I think that probably expired. Make sure you grab the starter pack because it ends in 6 days.
How do you know? If you're going by the numbers on the progression screen after each game, those numbers are your base numbers, before adding equipment and boosts from archetype and perks. There are other places where it only shows the base numbers. And I'm almost positive it does not show the numbers after the equipment boosts. It only ever shows either your base numbers or base + boosts from archetype & perks. Try playing a game without any of your equipment and I think you'll be able to tell the difference. Then you'll know if the equipment is boosting your player or not.
@@died4u525 it’s not man. I know it’s not cuz every now and then my numbers are 100 contact and power which is what it should be after my equipment but most the time it’s the 82-85 contact and power. There fixing it tho this next update. They just tweeted it out
@@w4lkoff502 Are you on Xbox? I'm on PS5 and I definitely have noticed way more issues for people on Xbox. I have not seen my numbers ever show the equipment boosts. When it does show them do you remember what screen(s) you're seeing it on?
@@died4u525 I’m on Xbox yah. at first it was when I would be a pinch hitter but It really is random most the time. It’s the most consistent when I do pinch hit tho. And sometimes my numbers will stay if I punch hit the first game of the series and play the rest of them.
What batting difficulty should I have on? Right now I’m batting a 289 with dynamic so I’m playing in all star but I only have 1 HR and don’t hit the ball a lot
Try Veteran. I like to bat in the mid to upper .300s for my avg. if I’m batting over .400 I raise the difficulty. If I’m batting under .300 I lower it. but that’s just my preference.
Use legend difficulty because home runs and base hits and extra bases feels more rewarding. Some people only play on the lower difficulty and the game becomes stale because they’re hitting .400 with 50 HRs in half a season.
Maybe you already figured this out but I'm gonna respond anyway. The numbers it shows don't include your equipment boosts. The numbers in the progression screen after each game are your base numbers, not including equipment or archetype/perk boosts. I'm pretty sure it doesn't show your numbers including equipment boosts anywhere. If you go into the "my ballplayer" screen from the rtts main screen and you go to "player card" it shows your base numbers plus the boosts from the active loadout. Above each number it shows the additional boost from all equipment in that loadout but it does not show you your base + archetype + perks + equipment total. You need to add it up yourself. Not sure if you think it's just not working or if the numbers are what's bothering you. If you're not sure if equipment is making a difference I'm sure if you take all of your equipment off and play a game you'll be able to tell the difference between having it on and playing without it. Changing equipment won't change your overall though. I'm guessing the numbers don't include equipment boosts because they only want to show us improvements our player is actually making. If the numbers included equipment boosts we wouldn't know how much improvement is our player and how much is equipment. Hope that helped.

Do you have a fielding as a pitcher video I can't get the buttons down
Have you tried changing the button mapping? Maybe that will be helpful. Go to settings, mode-specific and go down to "player lock button mapping". I use fielder because it's from the fielder's point of view so square is 1st, X is 2nd and circle is 3rd. Sorry if you're on Xbox, I don't know the buttons on Xbox. If it's already on fielder for you then try classic. Maybe it'll help.
Why does ur camera follow ball after hit. Mine don’t ???
You can aim the camera using the right stick to watch the ball.
aye bro are you actually from washington? if so what part?
Next question is what do you go for first? Attributes or gear?
Thanks man huge help!
Finished the normal rtts challenges but it wont let me put my cap in the dd team (wont show) anyone know how to fix it?
You are reading your stats wrong in the beginning, the stat is alreqdy including your boost, you don't add both numbers, you cannot have 90 contact on both and 80 vision and be 59 overall
That’s exactly what I was thinking lol
I’m siming to increase my base attributes but I do t get the option to do the training I’m in the majors already
He made a different video about the rtts progression glitches right?
Yea I posted that yesterday
I actually made a video how to fix that and pushed it live yesterday :)
@@Emmdotfrisk ok cool I didn’t get a notification for that video. And I sincerely meant no disrespect. Thank you for the response.
How do I put on 2 batting gloves mine only give me 1 help please
Go to the My Ballplayer screen and go to appearance. Then go to equipment and batting gloves. Change it to both and press options or whatever it is on Xbox. Idk. It's glitches though so every time you go into your loadout it'll reset to one batting glove. I just got into the habit of going into appearance and fixing it every time because that one batting glove drives me nuts! 😂
S/O Emmdo for being born in washington nice to see youtubers from pnw
Thanks for the advice
My guy is a left fielder. I want him to be a short stop. How do I change it?
I don't think you can change it without starting a new road to the show. I haven't seen any way to do it.
@@died4u525 I did restart one. But now my player I created, won’t show up on my diamond dynasty team
How do you get your equipment boosts to show up in the game?
honestyly they dont its still a glitch and dont work for me either i should have over 100 power but i only have 79
It doesn't show the numbers but the boosts definitely work.
Thank you so much my guy
Ty so much added the batting cloves and stuff like that and my contact is now a 93
I did not know about the buying diamond perks thank you so much
Batting stance?
I’m in triple a and tired of being a 2 way player anyway I can stop pitching
When I play road to the show it dosent give me any points towards this program
Got called up and went 0-3 and I’ve been batting 350-400 in AAA so I’m worried they will send me down now
Another tip if you don’t care about your position based off your archetype I use slugger and wanted to play ss got to diamond and wasn’t happy with the team I played for so made a new made him a left fielder best for that archetype and went for a 87 to a 94
Does the difficulty level impact how much XP you get per game?
Na it doesn’t
@@husainlethal559 how do you change difficulty? i dont think im on a hard difficulty but my PCI is 4X smaller than his PCI in this video and my contact and power is just a bit better than his too. so hard to hit the ball its like my pci is on the hardest difficulty its almost the size of the ball
@Bernie Giancola you can go to in game settings and adjust the pci size and everything
You Could also Play Franchise or March to October to gain Xp which would help you.
Nice to see I'm not the only one who chose the Mariners
Im pissed I wanted to be a 2 way player in the majors but they brought me up as a pitcher only and I miss playing CF
I couldn’t hit with my player
i changed my rtts characters position and it didn’t update on DD i went from 2nd to catcher and DD made me a left fielder so i won’t play rtts until it’s fixed but i’m coming back to this video if they hopefully fix it
Whenever I get the perks it won’t let me equip them
How do you get stubs tho
Maybe a dumb question but how do you switch fielding to meter throwing? I’d prefer that over what the default is where you drag the stick over to the target. Idk where that option is
New to MLB The Show? lol That's called "showtime" which is probably why you couldn't find it. The option you want is under fielding and it's called "rtts throwing interface". I use showtime so I'm not sure what each of the others is like. Haven't used any of them in years but there's your setting! lol
From personal experience and in other videos you get called up once you get the silver archetype.
Not exactly. Your overall still needs to be higher then the next guys. If it's another young player might aswell start over.
Earliest I’ve been called up to triple A is literally right after the all star game. Then called up to MLB in August or September. Anyone else?
Literally same
Subbed when he showed appreciation for the shoe game 💨
Do you have to be a 2-way player to get in the mlb bc thats whats scaring me
you can change it later
You can Sim through the games when it says you'll be pitching. That's what I did. And every time they ask how you feel about being a 2 way I just said I didn't like it. lol Eventually they give you the option to stop.
I was a ss at first and then they made me switch to right field and I want to go back to SS how do I do that
They’ll eventually ask you again if you wanna switch they asked me again after the first season
They’ll eventually ask you again if you wanna switch they asked me again after the first season
What if i have silver vii do i buy diamond vii
what i did to update bronze was just get a hit in cpu diamond dynasty quit then repeat kind of a grind but faster then doing two repeatables
Can I equip these in road to the show?
My equipment isn’t working it’s not counting the equipments attributes to my guy in RTTS games. Anyone know why?
I played on legend in the past games but i’m on veteran this year cause my player can’t hit shit
Use legend difficulty because home runs and base hits and extra bases feels more rewarding. Some people only play on the lower difficulty and the game becomes stale because they’re hitting .400 with 50 HRs in half a season.
Veteran gets you into the mid 300s. Worst I gotten is 262 and got it up to 340s but still wasn't called up
How tf do you got connection
I don’t understand how people get like 5 perks could someone explain that to me
Equipment doesn't raise my stats or overall, is that normal?
I've been playing since game drop I'm a 76 ovr with bronze archetypes idk if it's the system not working correctly or what but I have not been able to upgrade my archetype my pitching still at 0 pts my hitting 56pts hasn't moved in days lol
Does anyone know how to stop being a two way pitcher
If you're still early then when you agent asks you if you're happy you tell him you don't want to be a 2 way anymore. If you already passed that point then you may be stuck unless you start over with a new rtts.
@@died4u525 i just started over
Does anyone know if this works the same in MLB The Show 22?
Thank you so much
After my first year as RF and Ovr 56 i was invited at Spring Training with Blue Jays...with .240 ive been sending again in AA.
Has this happened to anyone else? I was honestly surprised to have been called to Spring Training
I'm 78 over and batt on hof. I'm telling you since being called up to MLB, pitch speeds look way faster than in franchise. And I can't hit shit even with good timing. Weird bc of my 80 plus contact.

I got called up to the rangers and went 4 for 5 with 4 homeruns
Sliders all the way up?
Nah just regular
Much faster way to get thru this. Go to games, click next appearance and every time he comes to the plate you hit next appearance. The game will simulate and you get credit for everything. You can a game every minute to two minutes.
Isn’t that worse or same as summing games
How do you get show time?
Pretty sure it's on by default but only available for infielders. It's in the fielding settings for "rtts throwing interface".
