@@sabbysodhi5029 Oh awesome! I want to hear those. Yeah, both are a bit too small for larger rooms. And that's a tough question... More mid-range out of the gate with the UB5. Q150' are a darker sounding speaker but the KEF tweeter has more detail. The Q150's are better at low volume listening in my opinion and non fatiguing. The UB5's are non fatiguing as well but they really don't know they're playing until they hit 75-85 db. When set up properly in the right room they can be monsters. The KEF's have the upper hand with the 8 ohm load for most people. They are both excellent though. Digital Trends got the analogy right between the two speakers in their review of the KEF Q150. From a crisp Chardonnay (UB5) to a smokey Pinot Noir (Q150). I tend to lean towards Pinot Noir. But I'm not giving up my Chardonnay 😀
Shane Lindsay man that’s awesome that you enjoy both of them. I have heard the debut 6.2 but I wanna listen to the ub5 tho & as far as the q350 goes words can’t describe the low end that these throw 😁
I have used the Dali Zensor 7 floorstanding speakers, which have more bass but equally good mids and highs. I have also tested the Focal Aria 906, which are a bit flatter, but not worth the 300 extra you would have to pay.
how loud is the floor noise on these speakers? I sit quite close to my speakers and i've had a few speakers where the floor noise hissing is just too loud it gets annoying
Good review by it please no sound test on RUclips. Makes no sense to blast your music when the end user is listening on their smartphone, beats earbuds or big lots headset or whatever.
@@jgimiliaristech yeah, the price is ok (choosing between a5+ or 3020i+amp). But I'm not sure if ad18 is enough for this one, as that is the amp that I'm aiming right now. But judging from the reviews, this one (in white too) would sound better than the ones I mentioned
@@randall96 went with the q150 (saw it on sale again BTW) and very happy with it. I'm using it on my TV though not on the pc. But based on the short time I've heard the a5, while it's good, it's not on the same league as the kef (though you'll need an amp/receiver on the kef)
What do you guys use to drive this? I dont want a full size receiver. Can i go cheap like small ad18? Or do i need to go higher like svs amp, leave i think also has one. I’m new to these things fyi
I use a Yamaha R-S201. Your question is tough to answer. Some small amps are much better than some full size ones BUT going cheap on the amp would be a big bottleneck for the speakers
If you want small look at the nad d3020 I've heard this combination together and for a desk setup or small room setup it's really good and it comes with a remote ...don't let the 30wpc on the NAD fool you , it can definitely fill a room easily
Thanks for watching!! If you want more here is my latest upload! ruclips.net/video/9pGvBVYNB2A/видео.html
The speakers include port plugs for mounting near walls.
Yeah man you definitely never want to put bookshelf's on an actual bookshelf LOL especially with rear port
I have been using them on a bookshelf with the port plugs and it has no problem. I did however need to tweak the amp’s EQ
Thanks, would you choose these over headphones?
I just got them for like 300 bucks and they are worth every penny
Couldn’t agree more
I bought a pair as well at the holiday pricing. I can listen to these for hours. I swap them back and forth with my UB5's ☺️. Good review 👍
Shane Lindsay which one do you like better the ub5 or the q150. Cause I exchanged mine for the q350 as I needed that little bit of extra low end.

Good job, thanks for the review.
Thanks, I appreciate the feedback!
Сабвуфер у вас подключён к этим колонкам или нет?
У меня нет. Маленькая комната. Они очень чувствительны к електронике. Я их подключил к офигенной аппаратуре PSAudio и результат очень очень хороший.
$299 on Amazon right now HOLLA
These KEF150 or the ELAC Debut 2.0 B5.2? Anyone listened to them side by side? Thanks.
What other speakers do you have or have you heard that you can compare them to? Besides the Yamahas

John Gimiliaris Awesome thanks!
Also, what amp did you use with the kefs?
What are you guys/gals are using to drive these?
Has anyone compared these Q150 with Klipsch RP500M side by side? Which one is better? Cheers
Not ideal testing situation with one speaker on a bookshelf and the other not.

Isn’t really something that is speaker related so I can’t say. But for me it has been unnoticeable.
@@jgimiliaristech ah thank you, I hadnt realize that these were passive speakers!

I see the point there, the thought behind is that people can get an idea of whether they sound like tin cans or not...
want these in white, but a tad too big for my desktop pc
I’d suggest you try to fit them somehow. It is a shame to miss out on them if you are ok with the price.

Music sucks. Speakers dont
My dad buys me everything that’s why they are cheap
Do you even know how the price tags on similar speakers?? I said they are cheap compared to similar quality speakers NOT 15 pound computer speakers 🙃🙃
John Gimiliaris try fluance signature those are cheap
