    Thank you for a great inclusion of Tyndall AFB's great heritage of fighter operations and airshows. You brought me back to many fond memories. I live in Panama City and am proud to be a part of Tyndall operations. Spread the word: Tyndall needs your help! Hurricane Michael destroyed 50% of structures on Tyndall's base and flight line, and needs to be rebuilt quickly to restore the local economy in Panama City. Please help in any way you can! Thank you.

    Nice to see that old hardware. I spent my early years (0-8) on USAF bases as my father was stationed at Chanute and MacDill in that time. I saw many of these aircraft, having been born in 1965, and watched as many were phased out and new breeds entered. It was an exciting time. Thanks for the great video!

    If you guys would put together a book or two of your vintage images and other such pictures, I'm sure it would sell well. I would definitely add it/them to my library. I have an extensive collection and you guys still come up with some real treasures that I have never seen before. Take care and keep up the good work. God Bless from Florida.

    WOW, A Burlington Northern F7A!
    Though I am not from the area, my guess location is either St. Paul or Duluth? I have been to both places during the F7 era. I photoed a few Fs in Duluth.
    ex NP I bet. The sad part is many BN Fs were rebuilt in the 1970s for intended use into the 1980s.
    the 1979-1982 recession changed BN minds and they were disposed of by 1980. so sad that so few of them were not sent to the scrappers.
    Fs were THE classiest loco ever built. I saw many F3As,F7As,FP7s,F7Bs and even 1 F3B. All that are left are memories and kodachrome images.
    BTW, I am from Dayton and I can remember going to the USAF museum when it was outside back in the 1960s.
    the teachers would frown when us kids would look at the B-24 named "strawberry bitch."

    Those old shots of the William Tell competition were amazing! One silly question, why do you have the lamp in front of you? It's a bit distracting, maybe relocated it to the right side of the desk. Thanks for sharing! Take care, -scott

      @airailimages  5 лет назад +1

      Not a silly question -- we were setting up in a new location, and we kept messing with the lighting (off camera) and every other aspect, and it just got shoved there. Will relocate it in the future.

    Everytime I see a picture of an F 14 Tomcat there's always this statement that it's US Navy property. Which suggests to me that the airforce at least tested it. Iran has/had some. But who else used the Tomcat other than the Navy?

      not a "train."
      This is a Burlington Northern F7A!
      probably ex-Norther Pacific. 1500hp of pure GM goodness. GM graduating class circa 1951-52. the best looking diesel ever made.
      ALL, BN F units were sold off for scrap by 1980. I was able to photo a few in Minneapolis(Northtown yard) and in Duluth. 1978.

      Long story -- some prerecorded segments, some less-than-optimal gear on the road, and I agree, not happy with the overall audio on this product. Working some issues for the next one.
