In this video i show our newest purchase a cat AD45B haul truck, used for underground mining. #caterpillar #diesel #heavyequipment #mining #construction
I work underground and these trucks are tough as nails. They have 18 of them. Their main conveyor system caught on fire and they were hauling from the bottom of the mine all the way to surface which is about 5 hours round trip. I pulled off to let one go by and the dpf was red hot and cooked my face as it went by. I thought there was going to be a lot of trucks down because of torques and driveline issues from the long haul but there wasn't. You can't beat a caterpillar haul truck.
I am Sure you know your business better than me. And yes the Cab is a little Rough. But the rest seems ok shape so Why would you Part it OUT??? Just asking. I enjoy your videos Keep them coming. Jake McClellan The Oregon Boy 👦
I know that they make standard ADTs for above ground applications, but is there any reason why you would not use one of these above ground? Thanks - enjoy the content!
There’s a underground coal mine in my area and there was a ceiling collapse and a huge section collapsed on the machines luckily the machines held it up enough the miners were able to get out but unfortunately over a million or two dollars worth of equipment was lost
Interesting , Thank You . Sad to see another fine Cat pieced out , if all goes will Many other good Cats will Live longer. Tugs of war are always fun. Show that Yankum in action
Loved the sound of the boards crunching when you unloaded. I was hoping you’d run over something but I guess you didn’t want to damage the tires.Put the giant compactor wheel in the bed and then dump it on some poor victim. Maybe bowling the wheel into a bunch of vehicles. Total chaos, women and children crying 😂. Think Allen would sponsor the tug o war?
Now before you start getting all excited about American made and built with pride, that much is probably true, but I can assure you, NOBODY in Illinois is happy..
@iron king Inc , the breaks will lock up if your not into the throttle for safety drive it with two feet, ride the breaks and give it throttle and more break to go slower. Gotta drive it like you stole it

Was hoping for a truck crush on that old pickup...😢
I thought he was going to drive the haul truck over the pickup.
I call dibs on the 966 so that if I lose I can just turn around and tip you over 😂

I thought the same thing. I think it’s clearance in the front.

That's probably a typo, but I like it anyways..
Keep up the fun! I Always loved driving the biggest and badest trucks. Looking down on the peoples knowing they would want to try too.
Not even close the the largest underground haul truck makes they make the AD63 now a days. 63 tonnes with a V12 twin turbo 27 litre

why are you parting it out? couldnt it be used ABOVE ground?
Just like me every time I go to the dump, something always gets stuck in the bed
Ya , yankum rope testing !
The AD might be a good rocket 🚀 launcher ?😊
When I get GED I wanted to be mechanic diesel ❤
That's not the largest, it's medium sized, i used to design these.
The Northern Commercial badges welded into the nose are dope! Super old Alaska cat dealer
NC machinery
Ad63 is the largest one actually
Eh? Rubbish. They make the 55. 😂😂😂😂
Tug of War yes let’s test the Yankam ropes

The tractor did its job. No piece of iron is worth dying over
Pretty cool machine. Thanks for the video
You've got to love the adult version of Tonka toys.

Sounds like a good idea to me.
That should be turned into a water totter!!! Nice 5000 tank on the back and a PTO pump.
What a mess!!!
Do IT!
Use the sun and a mirror to make the brightest flashlight in the world. See down a well or in a fuel tank.

Probably happier than the guy in China working in a sweat shop for 25 cents a week 👍🇺🇸
Australian designed and made, hence the metric bolts everywhere except the engine. Yanks couldn't build quality like that.
@@tadstertrolley7770 if you say so, boss

This makes sense. I was driving it earlier and noticed every time I would give it throttle it would not lock up.
@@quintonbartolotta I work underground and that's how I train guys
Looks like that thing isnt meant to go in reverse. It dont got any mirrors
It has a back up camera
Has a nice Riche Brothers overhaul done to it.
Its called a blocko dog haha
shame to part it out......what a waste....oh well....
Why is it a waste? It has 46K hours. No mine would ever purchase this truck. What other use does it have?
Tug of war with Casey would be nice 😂
What about the AD 60 Isn't that larger than that one
Yes it is, newest is AD-63.
So what u gonna do with it? Tare it down and scrap it out for parts?
Yep
That truck is badass. Built like a tank.
