U tube is way better than television. No matter what your interest is, there seems to be a channel. Glad Casey introduced you to viewers. OUR MAN "Q"!😊
The neutral lock turns the left brake pedal from a clutch into another brake pedal. when it’s off when you press the left pedal it shifts the transmission into neutral. When you turn it on it just functions like a normal brake pedal I run a 972 G series II everyday with 23000 hours
Been seriously hooked on this channel ever since hearing about from Casey's. Anyone loving big boy toys will understand why you have the best job in the world!
Neutralizer is what makes it go into neutral when you apply the brakes if you turn it to where the light comes on it won’t go into neutral while you push the brakes.
That 988 could be cleaned up refurbished and repainted and it would make a really good tractor. Might want to find some good used wheels that aren’t all beat to crap too.
You definitely get to play with some big toys. So to do the math you requested: 61122.8 frame hours at an average of 45 mph (a number that should be ballpark for typical mixed city/highway driving) comes to just over 2.75 million miles. For comparison, the engine in my semi truck is at 944,000 miles without a rebuild. But of course, that's also a Caterpillar. A 3406E 6TS, to be precise. Like you, I'm in awe of how long these things can keep going.
The quarry where i worked used a 988 wheel loader with a 10 yard bucket. There was also a Michigan 475 3A. with a 10 yd bucket. We always agreed that the 988 was better.
I believe that neutral button works when it’s in gear and you step on the brake it kicks the trans into neutral so you can work the bucket or whatever implement faster like when you’re loading dump trucks.
Ran different loaders including a 992 G & they all had the same problem; torques don’t let them pull; and then they like to hop. I also ran a 24 M & when it was wet & slippery l ran around pulling the 789 haul trucks out of the ditch. They are a 200 toner and if the truck helped , no problem.
great running and operating machine for how hard it must have worked really cool. Are there any more videos with the your rescued Peterbuilt Semi truck Planned? See it sitting there every video.
The machine rolling was funnier than hell .. Which video has the dyno / test machine in it ? I saw a snippet and want to watch but cant figure out which video
Used to run one of them loaders in a quarry here in the falkland island was the biggest one on the island at the time was then sold on to private company and has been parked up since lead to belive the engine is a little warn but it had easiy 8k hrs on the clock
im aware you like CAT and i don't blame you they are one of the top equipment brands, however when you say show me a machine that can be rebuilt this many times and still run good most brands of machine if well maintained will go just as long as a CAT.
A tug-of-war is not a good idea with all the equipment when you don't know where the weak spots are you mean damaged a lot of expensive components that you can rebuild
You , need to clarify ! Did you purchase this machine to refurbish and resell , OR , are you going to repair and send back to a company that is your customer !!??
Hate Beeper alarms in videos... necessary in live application but not in these videos... just drop in engine sounds and kill the audio in these stupid backing them off of a trailer sections of videos. Just making the request. lol Sends my dog to hiding in the bathroom when the damn things go off and ruin an otherwise solid video :-)
I thought you saved used parts not destroy them I think it's time used went for a vacation away from the shop there's still money in that boneyard without breaking it

That poor snowmobile. 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for the video
980 will drag that 24 across the yard
That is in great shape for that many hours!

This is correct
Interesting , Thank You . Another fine machine to refurbish
That 988 could be cleaned up refurbished and repainted and it would make a really good tractor. Might want to find some good used wheels that aren’t all beat to crap too.
Great video, will be interesting to see where this machine ends up

How about a video of you guys fixing the garage door?
😆

Dude that 24m is going to drag the 980 all the way to town

Exactly right. I ran a 980G for a while in New Mexico, they're great loaders.
Right on the money

The 25 and 29 are the wheel sizes.
Excellent!
The 24H should win in a tug o' war.
grader is going to drag the loader around like a busted snow mobile!🤣

Iron King Rentals. Waiting for parts? Need a rebuild? We can do it! Rent our machines and keep working!…..diversity makes money! Love it!
Tug of war!!! Can't wait!
Where’s the Iron king Inc merch? I want a shirt.
That thing ran 6.978 years total. Almost 7 years of constant running. Man that's a long time to be on.
Loader vs snow machine - need a bigger loader!
The machine rolling was funnier than hell ..

Run one like it at work fun machine
It ran for the better part of time of everyday of seven 7 yrs
There’s a D8R dozer out in the coal mine with over 108k miles. And the first ever high track D8L is still in use. There’s a RUclips video about it
How Big displacement? Liters? (Sorry Im from Europe🇩🇰
Seemed stupid to do that to the snow machine after pickup fail. JMO
That’s 1,000,000 miles wow
About the equivalent of semi-truck long hauler.
Grader will win all day long..... that's my vote 😅
im aware you like CAT and i don't blame you they are one of the top equipment brands, however when you say show me a machine that can be rebuilt this many times and still run good most brands of machine if well maintained will go just as long as a CAT.
No they wont
@@quintonbartolotta show me your proof

At the 2 minute mark - of course - it's a Cat 🙂 (Yes, I have a 3126 so am slightly biased)
Gagnant le CAT 980G
980 will out traction 24, weight distribution is why.
Powerwash it while the Hood is open !
Why don't you hook up with Jay Paydirt (Jeff Anderson) and help him out with some D9 parts?
6 wheels are out power and 4 wheels all day long.
