  • Scatterplot in spss are useful for looking at the relationship between two variables. In this video you will learn to create scatterplots, edit the scatterplots in SPSS and also add regression line to your scatterplot. You will also learn how to add the coefficient of determination (R square) to your scatterplot in this video. Finally we discuss the usefulness of scatterplots in spss and how they are useful before conducting correlation analysis in spss.

    Thx SPSS boss..
hmm what about if in my hypothesis I said..
There is a relationship between A and B
after pearson correlation I found negative correlation and p value more than 0.05 and I mentioned it has no significant relationship and I rejected the hypothesis which is there is a relationship between a and b..
I mean here..I mentioned the word significant for p value during explanation under pearson table but in hypothesis I dont mention the word "significant.." just relationship...is it still ok? thx for your help spss boss!

+Amy Sherlocked It's fine for the hypothesis if you mentioned that there is a relationship between A and B, even if you forgot the word "significant" most lecturers and supervisor understand that when you hypothesize you are expecting statistical significance so definitely no harm done there. I wouldn't be worried if I were you :) Hope that helps and don't forget to subscribe to our channel

is it ok if p more than 0.05 I answered as variable A and B doesn't have any relationship? I forgot to put doesn't have any significant relationship in my research proposal..is it okay without the word SIGNIFICANT? I got viva next week..I need your opinions people... hmmm what should I do...I forgot to put the word...Im afraid lecturer thought im going to explain about r value...I want to explain bout p value...

+Amy Sherlocked The statistical Significance is quite important. You need to state that there is no statistically significant relationship between the two variables under investigation. Hopeful your lecturer overlooks it and next time remember to put statistical significance. All the best and let me know if you have any other question.
