1 week follow up review:
No scratches on it, and it doesn't touch the rubber at all when opening and closing the visor. Not sure why it did so in the video but has self-resolved now and does not appear to scrape in the middle like the brand name pinlock does. I rode in a particularly cold morning (6 degrees Celsius) and no fogging when riding. When stopped at the lights with the chin flap down, minor fogging present but not impairing visibility too much. I would say that it is the same as the pinlock brand, which would also do this. So far, so good. Highly recommend it. No fogging in the space between the visor and the anti-fog visor.

Still working perfectly. The Anti-Fog visor never touches the rubber on opening and closing. I think it did it in the video as the hard plastic visor was relaxed when removed and the bent again when installed. The shark visor must keep bending into shape when it's put back onto the helmet.
Overall, this fits better than the pinlock version and I'm very hopeful it will last more than a year.

still going great, it's getting colder and the Anti-Fog is working great. No issues evident at all, fits the shark evo-one gen 2 (probably gen 1 as well) perfectly. Highly recommend this product.
6 month follow up:
Soman visor scratched just like the pinlock one in the same spot. Took it off and have ordered 10 more from AliExpress. Highly recommend as they do a fantastic job.
Taking it off took a little more time as it's adhered with clear sticky gel stuff. Taking the visor off the helmet and running it under hot tap water made it really easy to unstick and took about 5 min of my time to get the sticky stuff off. No damage to the visor and this is now my go to antifog visor.
Thanks for that - win some lose some, where vision is concerned I won't take any chances - if it fogs up, it's not worth it imo. BTW, tip: consider putting two strips of black electrical tape on the very top of the visor to block out the sun - works really well, been doing it for years and really helps those days where you ride into the sun on late afternoons.
Good alternative, cheap enough to try. I have terrible trouble fogging up, I had pin lock but then glasses fog. Today I bought anti fog from the bike shop and it seemed to work well. Cheers
Thanks again for your information. You seem to be doing stuff that I am thinking of or trying to do.
I ordered a Pinlock for my O'Neal adv helmet, but can't find anywhere that sells the actual pins to install for it !
The new helmet I bought recently ( LS2 Pioneer ) has the pinlock pins pre-installed. The shop didn't have any pinlock visors in stock so I didn't get one at the time.
I will definitely be looking at these and getting a few. Cheers.
My work brings in these under our own brand. Packaging looks the same so I bet it’s the exact same thing
Gotta say, I've loved having the pinlock in my Airoh Commender visor. I never had it until I trashed my helmet on Coolah Tops and had to buy a replacement. Yeah sometimes my glasses fog up inside, but usually briefly - but putting the anti-fog on them seems a great idea for next time I'm yp the high country on a frosty morning :)
Yeah pinlock are really good. Just hard to justify the price for a replacement one that fits the shark Evo one. If the helmet didn't rub the pinlock when it opens and closes then it probably still would keep it in the helmet, but this somar one works just as well and doesn't rub. It's good to know there are great alternatives out there.
That's probably better than the version I got. Mine has a green tinge to it. I got mine from an Instagram add over a year ago now. It still works but not as good as it did when new.
The genuine replacement at $70 sounds like an Apple replacement price 😅
Can you test the Photochromic lens also. Thanks
