This just worked a treat for my 60inch LG plasma in 2024. Left a movie reel image on all night by accident woke up to the annoying logo stuck in the centre of my screen due to burn in. 15 mins in and I can't see anything! Amazing!
worked on me, my desktop apps are gone after playing this video at 25% brightness 30mins well the other half is not fully gone yet so I'll keep playing it before it gets permanent, AND THANK GOD I REALIZED THE BURN IS FRESH(cuz the burn changes), and have the opportunity to fix it, well I don't want the burn to be permanent

But in my case on LG OLED 55 inch tv, it removed the black dead pixels, but after sometime of regular video viewing, those black dots came back in at the right bottom corner of tv. Any guidance will help.

You can return it to Apple, you dont even need the receipt. Burn ins are covered by Apple for free. My brother had a very slight burn in last week on his iPhone 12 and they repaired it within an hour for free in Apple store

Don’t know why tech companies are moving to OLED screens when it hasn’t been perfected yet. @@kondigong8589 It's because the more the pixels age the slower they age, so the "younger" pixels will be able to catch up to the "older" burned in ones and make the whole screen appear more uniform. If image retention/burn in is severe enough it cannot be fixed but it can always be reduced in appearance at least somewhat with this method.
Idk but it's weird, whenever the color red passes on the burned pixel, the burn in (ghost icons) disappears. Apparently, I can conclude that those burned in must be a red pixels? Hmmm

Hi. Will this help with sparkling/firing pixels? I have a Pioneer Kuro LX6090 which has some white sparkling pixels biased to the upper and lower parts of the screen in certain dark scenes...
I am not sure about this as OLED material is organic, overtime use after so many Watch Hours the screen degrades itself and that is beyond repair. Maybe it is worth a try but I doubt this.
See it more like a muscle excersise… holding them to long in one position is going to strain them, then you want to flex to free everything up again for retrieve full free movement.
It’s seems like if you got a iPhone you have had for a few months or years the. If you get burn in you need to come to this immediately and use it to fix it
I had such a bad image retention on my Panasonic plasma at one time 24h sceen wash wasn't enough and after 48h still everything wasn't gone and then all of it went away in just a few more hours. Sometimes image retention can be really really bad.
I have an LG plasma with game hud burnin from bright white text. I'm skeptical. The text has not fully gone away and I have run this for hours. Also I think running these videos is just reducing the contrast of your TV on average. Its like accidentally clipping some hair too short... you have to even everything out around it so it doesn't stand out.

This needs to be reworded, If it gets fixed by this video, the n what you experienced was a mild form of image retention screen burn in however is permanent and cannot be fixed as its burned into the glass itself
Burn in is permanent. I think what people are doing in really bad cases is they are just evening out the burnin across the screen by lowering the contrast for their entire display by playing these video for long periods of time.
You cannot remove burn in people so don't bother trying. It's caused by the pixels degrading over time (usually the red as they have the smaller pixel) hence CNN logo burning in or Netflix as they are both a red static image...

Wow judging from the comments it seems like this shits works. I am going to test this on my Samsung ps50b430p2w plasma first thing in the morning. I got it from my friend's friend, he got that plasma from his superior, it was a tv which they used for dormeo commercials. As far as I know, the screen NEVER refreshed so the burn in is pretty significant (I knew the best way to see the real condition would be to run RUclips White background video.. Needless to say, dormeo letters upper right corner, some marks, letters in lower middle screen etc. Im going to run it for few hours in the morning and text u back results.

Image retention? Possibly. You can try, absolutely. If it doesn't work, try leaving your device shut off (moniter powered down and all) for a few hours or a few days.

Probably its a sign if a dead channel for a pixel resulting in being stuck to one colour in the end, try it might help. If not, ah well🤷🏼♀️

This will get rid of image retenion by activating each of the pixels equally through the color spectrum. It will not degrade your screen.

Not the glass itself but the light emitting pixels underneath it go dark with deadness.

Minutes? Hours, up to 16 if necessary. If it doesn't fix by that time, you have a permanent burn.
