    The living wage is just the minimum wage for 25 and over... simple

    When I was an apprentice I was on 70 pounds a week for 37.5 hours wasn’t a bad wage then cause I was living at home and cigarettes was 2.50 and beer was between 1.50 and 2.00 pounds but that’s all changed now big time lol 😂 I think a true living wage should represent actually living not surviving but most companies need people to be profitable and if they paid a fair wage it’s hits there profits and they don’t like that

      Whilst thats true for some businesses, most there isnt much profit in the first place. Biggest cost is wages and with bigger wages theres more NI. And all the NI each employee pays the company has to match. Before you know it, it's sorry gonna have to let you go. So unless your skills are in great demand its a matter of having some income rather than none as sad as that sounds

      Thats big business though so I get your point. 99% of companies are SME's and their profit gets reinvested to grow and thus create more jobs. But any shareholder or stakeholder owned business it's all about profit margins sadly for the employees

    It wasn’t long ago when Labour supported a National Living Wage of £15. Now that there’s a good chance of them getting into power next year, suddenly it’s not talked about anymore. I suspect they’ll go back on that particular manifesto because they know full well companies large and small would rather choose to cease trading than pay people £15 an hour. A lot of UK based companies simply wouldn’t be profitable.

    Jsa paid 7-8000 a year and people could live if not that comfortably outside london. I know of jobs that pay 10000 to 14000 a year if you keep them that long.

      @@lorrainei1622 you speak in base numbers. amt depends on need and your bugeting skills. For a pensioner 10 to 14 is a lot. I live comfortably on 8 to 10 even though my income is in the 20s so I can't complain. Some people have a lot of dependents and want to eat out every night and holiday every other month and 10000 a month won't satisfy them. You have to keep persective.

    In 2016 the national minimum wage was rebranded as the national living wage so now they are the same thing. Previous to 2016 the living wage was separate from minimum wage and living wage was a suggested number which wasn't compulsory. Now there is "living wage" and "real time living wage" living wage is now compulsory so increases in "living wage" by chancellor is compulsory for employers... The reason they rebranded national minimum wage is because the word minimum was so negative

    5:15 you say you not going to be taxed that much, well I work it out as £230, which is quite a bit of money to me. If the Gov thinks that's the bear minimum people need to earn to live on ( which is kinda isn't ) then the very least they should do is not tax you on it!

    The governments idea of a living wage is ridiculous and most people know it. That's why many are campaigning for the Real Living wage which is more realistic to live on. £13,500 was certainly not enough to live on even before the cost of living crisis. I'm so glad I switched to a different company and a different job but still fearful of rising costs.

    UK minimum wage should be £12 an hour. The Government needs to also remove NI payments and business tax from small companies. Raising the minimum wage to £12 an hour would increase taxes to the government by around £8 Billion a year.

    • @RevorecRecruitmentSolutions
      @RevorecRecruitmentSolutions  2 года назад

      Love the idea. But sadly many minimum wage jobs see little to no profit for the employer as it is. If a robot or 1 person can do 2 peoples jobs then you'll just accelerate some low level jobs being redundant. However the majority will still be profitable. The only issue is prices will just go up to negate the pay rises anyway

    Employment is the only area in life where the customer decides to set the price of the service provided. If I went into a supermarket and filled a trolley full of groceries to the value of £500 but said to the cashier "I'm only going to pay £100" I would be arrested. So why is the customer (employer) allowed to dictate the price of my skill, time and effort? The concept is absurd.

    • @RevorecRecruitmentSolutions
      @RevorecRecruitmentSolutions  2 года назад

      The thing is they tend not to. Plus you dont have to accept their offer. Just go elsewhere. I get your point but if anything the employee is the product on the supermarket shelf. The more desirable the product the more theyll pay. So become more desirable would be my thinking

      @@RevorecRecruitmentSolutions There have been many times in days gone by, when I have turned on my heels and walked out on an employer, telling him to get on with the job himself. I decided to pack in working in 2007 because it was no longer viable to work. I struggled through on very little money, yes I was poor but when I was working I was poor and exhausted and everybody expected me to pay bills. That isn't the case when you're unemployed and believe me, it is far better to be poor and free than poor and enslaved.

  • @amigang
    @amigang 2 года назад

    I really feel you shouldn't be tax on the living wage, income tax and national insurance should be raised from £12,550 to £13,650 and should always raise with the minimum amount so that people who earn the minimum dont have to pay tax, that would be the fairest tax cut a Gov could do, as it would also befit all low earner not having to pay tax until that amount. Plus I really think the minimum wages for under 18 should be above £5 a hour, that just crazy its that low! to fill the gap in tax, maybe have a new top end, of 48% for people earning over £500,000. I know not many would pay it or maybe go to 0 salary status, which is why Capital Gains Tax needs to be also looked at.

    I know I have posted this before but I shall continue to until I can see enough likes and replies to be sure that a fair number of people have read it. It IS vital information. Tbh, at least one or two channels should have read and checked the info by now and have made a video. As they should about the committee of 300 (hardly any have). WHY haven't they?
    "when your government becomes a corporation" (profit seeking business - not to represent the people and undoubtedly all countries not only England) on the bridge website. Since Elizabeth I, which I didn't know until yesterday.
    Via a less censored search engine.
    Left wing. Right wing. Same vulture in the middle. Seems it always has been since the Romans, when I think about it, but definitely Elizabeth I 😖
    I knew that the government UK Ltd was registered as a business at companies house on the 29th June 2005, and that it appears to have been used to asset strip with all departments and buildings being assigned to commercial corporations (such as EDF, Walmart etc) abroad and registered at Dun and Bradstreet USA, not the branch in England. Possibly some are registered in other countries and tax havens. Many have been renamed or are now 'owned' by another corporation, which is owned by another creating layers to make it difficult to find the actual (fraudulent) owners. The government UK Ltd no longer trades and has not produced accounts as legally required to Companies House. Until around four months ago it was owned by Laird James Coutts (same spelling as the royal bank) as sole owner. The name of the owner seems to now be hidden from public view. Around two or three years ago there was an application for strike off from Companies House and 'rumour' it was to be assigned to a the Crown Corporation before that also was assigned again to another. However, due to an objection the strike off was postponed, but the reassignment of the Crown Corporation went ahead. At the moment you can still see the registration at Companies House.
    All departments, various NHS, local authorities, courts, police and buildings either listed at Dun and Bradstreet USA, not the branch in England, or at Companies House along with the buildings. Asset stripped! look it up.
    Clearly, as all is stolen from us in fraudulent dealings, those who claim ownership apart from the British Public are not the owners at all.
    We must demand the return of our public Government, departments and buildings. People who are not too old, ill and who have the nous, determination and staying power must handle this whilst ensuring that they are not infiltrated. The second alternative is for enough of the employees and public to refuse to acknowledge their authority and to set up a new public sovereign government for the UK, and for each country in the UK, followed by doing the same with local authorities.
    Chiefly, taking over the central and other banks or setting up new ones to take business from the is vital.
    I am doubtful there are enough people who can and will do it. Too many think that bloody revolution is the only way, but all through history such revolutions are also controlled by the so called 'elite' and results in the same or worse rulership. Demanding the return of what is lawfully and rightfully ours, or writing it off and creating anew are the only other alternatives.
    I am no longer on fart buck etc so if you are please pass it on.
