    Wow! This story was highly enlightening, as well as entertaining! It's amazing the things we don't know about our historical figures until long after they've passed. I about fell off my chair with laughter when you muttered "Russians"😂😂😂😂
    He had an amazing skill when it came to capturing the likeness of Churchill and Lincoln. It was always my dream to marry a man with culinary talent because I fail miserably as a cook!

      It seems that we just get the glossed over bits. I love to dig a little deeper to try to find the person's character. I'm glad you found the Russian comment funny. Like you, I am no cook. :)

    If I got my facts right. During WW2 he purchased parts for military equipment from a sears catalog and paid for them himself. Maybe you can find that out for sure. Thanks Brad for keeping Paul Harvey legacy going and adding to it with your our research and talented story telling

      I haven't found where Ike did that, but I have read stories indicating that George Patton (who was both born wealthy and married into even more wealth) used his personal funds to helps buy tools and supplies from Sears to fund the 2nd Armored Division. There's a decent article in "War History Online" that talks a little about Patton's story.

    So not only was Eisenhower an excellent general ( I'm convinced that D day could've failed without his leadership) and a top tier president but was also Julia child and Bob Ross...in his spare time when he couldn't golf...😲

    These posts are _really really really_ ruined by censoring out Paul's world famous "sign off-GOOD DAY" and cutting ✂️ out the little "bird sound" at the end. It's a real shame you made this choice _for_ Paul.

    • @BradDison
      @BradDison  2 месяца назад +1

      He never ended "The Rest of the Story" with "Good Day." He used that signoff on his news and other broadcasts. For this, he only used "And now you know the rest of the story" or "only now you know the rest of the story."
