How's that aftermarket EGR valve working out after all this time? I'm wrestling with whether to go aftermarket or OEM to replace the one in my Tacoma. Seems like a simple enough part that the aftermarket should suffice, but I certainly don't want to save money if it'll mean I'll have to do it again in a year.

Did you get better milage after you replaced the EGR?
Code reader says mines bad on my really clean 2001 Camry 4 cyl with only 106,000 miles that runs like a sewing machine, but it is getting terrible gas milage at only about 15 combined. So bought an OEM EGR but need to put it in.
It might have given me an extra mile per gallon. It just depends though; I still haven’t gotten more then 26-27 on the interstate.
How long has it been since you replaced the spark plugs? Spark plug wires? I would also run a little sea foam in the gas tank; help clean the fuel system. Fuel filter replaced in the last few years? 15 combined is pretty bad. I think the worst I’ve gotten was 22.
After all that, and the EGR, if it still hasn’t gotten any better then 20 mpg; I would look at replacing the injectors.
