Many characters come from the first game, but under different names, same as Neural Cloud. The poster girl, Groza, is a doll from the first game under the same name, the OTS-14 Groza. They are named after the firearms they wield, and in GFL 2 while some changed their names while some kept their weapon designations, such as Groza, Mosin Nagant, Suomi, Vector, and Nagant (revolver). Others changed their names, such as Centaureissi (G36), Sabrina (Spas-12), Lenna (UMP-9), Klukai/Clukay (HK416), Mechty (G11), Daiyan (Type 95), Jiangyu (Type 97), Cheeta (MP7), Macchiato (WA2000), Papasha (PPSH-41), Dushevnaya (KSVK), and a few others. There are some original characters not from either of the older games. Even some characters from Neural Cloud are originally from the first game, such as Florence (PA-15), Abigail (M500), Betty (IDW), Lind (AA-12), Souchun (Type 64), Kuro (MDR), and a few others (I didn't play much of Neural Cloud). Since you probably recognize their names, I did not mention characters appearing in GFL2 that were in Neural Cloud if I mentioned them above. These are all real firearms that exist in real life. I am a big fan of the first game (and it sparked my gun love) so I know a decent amount. Edit: I forgot to mention but yeah Klukai/Clukay is a massive fan favorite amongst the community (I think at least). Her original counterpart (HK416) is a one of a kind doll a part of Squad 404, a group of renegade mercenary dolls consisting of UMP45, UMP9, G11, and HK416. They supposedly dont exist (hence 404), and are able to act on their own illegally without human orders, and are often hired by Griffin & Kryuger (the main character's faction and a PMC (private military company)) as black op mercenaries to assist the main character. UMP-45 is my favorite doll in the game, as well as HK416, ST-AR15, UMP-9, and M4 SOPMOD.

The main game may not have english VA but oh my god. They put VA work on everything except the pre battle dialogue stuff btw. I really wish it had some english VA work cause i definitely think Arryn Zech would do great as the fem commander since she already played Gentianne in the gfl anime. Which wasnt great but its the most some will ever get so i really want that to continue with more budget as well cause GFL's story honestly rocks against and at times makes HI3rds story look like a joke by comparison and holy shit is HI3rd's story good.

You need to react to the credits songs of OG GFL. They are masterpieces without context. Solar Sea however is my work alarm because its a declaration of revenge with context.
