- Mia san Bayern - in our new series, we would like to bring you, along with Götze, Alaba and Co. a little closer to Bavarian culture and tradition. After all, what would FC Bayern be without title celebrations on the town-hall balcony, the obligatory beer shower or the Munich Oktoberfest?
In today's episode, we take a look at the Munich Olympiastadion - the former home of FC Bayern. It's an extraordinary arena with an incredible history.

Best stadium ever!
The last champions league match in Olympiastadion Munich was Bayern 3-2 Chelsea. Great victory with two goals in the last minutes, but finally dissapoitment for the elimination. Great memories in Olympiastadion, where many bayern fans born there.
I'am from Bulgaria and I was there in 2012 for the final. It was one of the best moments in my life, although we lost. Great atmosphere, great people! FCB !
Es wär schön wenn Bayern ein oder 2 mal Jahr ein Bundesliga spiel dort austrägt. Sozusagen ein Classic spiel
+Olli B viel zu teuer und wäre reine Geldverschwendung für Bayern! Dazu ist das Oly Stadion nicht Bundesligatauglich und es werden dort keine Fußballspiele mehr stattfinden! Wird jetzt zur reiner Eventarena von der für ca 80Mio. saniert, aber eben nicht für Fußball.

@@Nicolas-sn4vt weil es z.B keine VIP Plätze gibt. Und man darf nichts dazubauen, weil es vom Architekt urheberrechtlich geschützt ist..
Soy hincha del BVB, pero, tengo que admitir que este estadio es hermoso. Espero que cuando vaya a Alemania algún día pueda visitar el Olympiastadion.
I visited the outskirts of the olypiastadion when I was 11 years old in 1997 and had no idea how significant the Bayern vs 1860 München match was. Being a massive Bayern supporter now (since 2000) I wish we pushed through the crowds and watched the game from some kind of nearby vantage point. Who's knows when the next Bayern München vs 1860 München match will take place...

I really hope once or twice a season Bayern could schedule a game at the Olympic stadium

don't know why, but the first game in Olympiastadion that pops up is the CL game versus Chelsea in 2005...

Such a prestige & majestic stadium
Es entendible que habiéndose inaugurado el Allianz Arena ese estadio no podía utilizarse en la Copa Mundial de la FIFA Alemania 2006, pero qué pena que haya quedado afuera. Me gusta lo simple del diseño. Básicamente se trata de un hoyo donde la gente ingresa por encima. Los estadios de Mendoza, Córdoba y Mar del Plata están inspirados en esa arquitectura.

The fist high-tech building in the history of the Olympic Games. The tent roof is still groundbreaking futuristic today. So many years ahead of it's time! Absolutely unique!

Ich finde es innen viel schöner als in der Allianz Arena, da es so offen und Hell ist. Jedoch ist die Allianz Arena schon besser bezüglich der überdachten Ränge.
Ich vermisse die Südkurve :( , heute zwar auch noch existent aber viel weniger Stehplätze verfügbar , da war noch mega Stimmung die heute nur noch teilweise aufkommt !
