    Hillstream loaches are a top tier for sure. They’re getting way more popular. Don’t keep them with large lava rocks though! They’ll cut up their mouths and die. Otherwise I love having them. They’re like teeny little nano plecos, I have one in all my tanks.

    Another succint and informative video, with a very articulate presentation. Well done once again! You should run training courses for a lot of the less coherent/competent RUclips presenters. PS: Would all of these algae eaters survive with rainbowfish?

      Thank you very much 🙏, idk if I’m good enough for that yet 😅🤣.
      Pretty much all of them would be great with rainbows except for the cherry shrimp and algae eating shrimp. Although if you have a large enough, well planted tank then you may be able to get away with keeping them with a large species of algae eating shrimp. 😊

      @@AussieFishKeeping. You are definitely above average when compared to a lot of fish RUclipsrs. There are quite a few I do not watch because they obviously do very little preparation; whose presentation is disjointed and they mumble, use 'ah's and 'um's continuously. They may have greater experience in fish keeping but you kill it in presentation.

    Hi i have a Question how do you tell if your fish say a guppy or an Endler has reached old age and is ready to pass and not mistake it for it being sick???

    • @AussieFishKeeping.
      @AussieFishKeeping.  7 месяцев назад +1

      Generally guppy’s only live around 1.5 - 2 years at best. So if you’ve had yours for around that time it may just be old. Aswell as that older guppies will usually look sick but they should still eat and swim around the aquarium. If your guppy is sick however it may have clamped fins, cloudy eyes, it’s scales may be messed up and it may have a thin clear film growing over some parts of its body or fins. A sick guppy will generally also swim differently and will not want to eat at all you may even find it being pushed around by the flow easily or just laying around the bottom of your aquarium.
      Hopefully this helps 🤞
      (This is a really good video idea, I’ll try and make a video on it in the future 🤫)

    Great compilation of algae eaters. The vibe of the video reminds me of KeepingFishSimple. A tip; you're saying "So", and "As for" a lot, see if you can find some other words to tie different clips together
