That was an informative 17 minutes Marshall, especially with you compairing it to your other bikes. Thank you for your effort in producing these videos. How about doing a road legal Trail Bike up in those beautiful mountains of yours? Off road of course!

I'm not very good in loose gravel, and I don't even know where the OHV trails are out here. Now if I had a light dual sport.

    Thanks for the review.
I’ve been watching Big Rock Moto’s reviews as well, and he really puts the bike through it’s paces.
Honda swung and missed by not adding cruise control to this bike. I’ve never had cruise control on any of my current or previous bikes, so I probably won’t miss it.
All of the other “issues” with this bike have easy work-arounds except one: the air filter. I doubt I’ll ever change out the air filter on this bike myself. Probably just pay the dealership to do it for me.
Looking forward to picking up my new TransAlp in January, and spending some time and money fitting it out with the Honda mods, and a new exhaust.
    Happy Trails!

I don't know what Honda has against Cruise Control and air cleaner access. Goldwings are notorious for 1.5 hours of shop time to change the filter, but as a pavement bike, that's acceptable. ADV bikes however will get dirty in a single BDR group ride. They should have a filter like a clothes dryer. Maybe a pre-filter that just slides out. The filter on the Africa Twin is a pain to get to. I changed the filter on the NC700X, and it required removing a lot of Tupperware. Grr.

I don’t understand why everyone is complaining about cruise control. No bike in this category even close to the price has cruise and nobody says anything

Nice video on a cool new bike. BTW, what jacket do you have in this video? I don't see many hi viz leather jackets around here.

I got it from Amazon for WAY LESS than I've paid for other bike leathers, and this is ARMOURED. I have a brown one too. This one is a #HWKmotorsports.

It's not hard! The key is being in a safe situation. Pose at public events, or put one together with a few other ladies and some bikers you trust. It's just photos. You can email me your contact info at RidingwithMarshall@gmail.com

Hey man thanks for the review hey you want to get the blood pumping see if you can test drive a cb1000r black addition and FYI you're using the quick shifter wrong quickshifter wrong pin the throttle and shift it throws it into gear and is seamless no clutch needed and it is slick as a ribbon you would really enjoy it once you train your hand to not back off the throttle it is freaking awesome and you also can downshift with the quick shifter with no clutch Honda has got that figured out had a 1000r and it got me into trouble LOL looking to downgrade to the transalp and keep my license for a little while longer as long as I can keep the FJR from enticing me in with the siren Call

I got my TA in December and I’m loving it. It’s really good on the road too. I got rid of my CBR and I have no problem keeping up on the twisties around the lake and it’s crazy comfortable. I highly recommend. Oh and it’ll def rip wheelies with tc and abs off

That windscreen looks really small when I see you sit on the bike you are test riding..It def needs to be bigger then that.

Hello! I can't understand why the Transalp in US has 83 HP at a maximum of 8500 RPM. In Europe it has 92 HP at 9500 RPM. 🤔🤔 My opinion on the Transalp... it's completely overrated. Nobody wants to hear that. Forks and shock absorbers are the cheapest goods with hardly any adjustment options. The engine doesn't fit in a travel enduro, it's only fun at high speeds. The facilities are more than poor. No cruise control, no hand guards, no engine protection, no USB socket, no outside temperature display, no tubeless rims, steel flex brake lines, Brembo brakes, shaft drive.. and I write that as a Honda fan. 😎😎 Test drove the Honda on Monday, signed the purchase contract for the V85TT on Wednesday. Engine performance isn't everything and apart from more power, the Honda can't do anything better than the Guzzi. And for a much better price too. 😎😎 So long...😉😉 Thanks for the video 👍🏻👍🏻 and I'm ready to get punished now from everyone...😎😎

Honda has been getting cheaper and cheaper with designs. Maybe it's due to the exchange rate between nations. I bought a V85TT as well, and I love it, despite my scathing review of it's dashboard inaccuracies. The catalytic converter has to go away though. Mine gets up to 450 degrees f after a highway ride. For the money, the V85TT can't be beat. Shaft drive , heated grips, cruise control, tubeless spoked tires... It beats the TransAlp in all ways except reliability. I've had no issues yet, but know a few that have.

Why did the American version have less HP? Stricter noise restrictions. The land of the roaring Harleys doesn't want Hondas you might be able to hear over a cell phone vibration.

@@ridingwithmarshall Hi Marshall! I can only agree with you on almost everything, except for reliability... 😉😉 Two motorcycle magazines in Europe (Germany and Italy) tested the V85TT over 50,000 km and then disassembled it. In Italy 2019 and in Germany 2023. Neither had any breakdowns or major problems. The Italian tester's engine was almost in new condition after 50,000 km. The V85TT in Germany had slight deviations from new on one cylinder, but!! no oil consumption 😉😉 no loss of performance... runs like clockwork. Gears 5 and 6 had slight marks, but that was the fault of the testers 😎😎 the Guzzi transmission doesn't like shifting without a clutch, which they did. That's also the reason why Guzzi doesn't offer a quick shifter. It's not designed for that. Here in Europe the V85TT now has a very good reputation for reliability. The days when Italian motorcycles were not reliable are long gone. Even the electronics are at the top level and don't cause any problems. The owners of a V85TT in Europe travel a lot with it. The Spaniards love the Guzzi, there are many fans. There is a video on RUclips in which a group shows their mileage. One has almost 130,000 on it 😁😁👍🏻👍🏻 the others between 30-50,000 km. I picked mine up from the dealer on October 16, 2023 and then went on a tour of Italy and Sardinia. Almost 5000 km in 4 weeks without any problems. So much for the reliability of the Moto Guzzi V85TT. Kind regards from Bavaria... Robert 😉?
Edit: The only problem I have is with the break discs with the floaters. But I get 2 new disc for warranty and I can't blame Moto Guzzi for this... There are from Brembo 😎😎

After 3500km on a Tri blue TA in Australia , have mixed feelings , comparing it to my 23 model Versys 650.
The TA engine isn’t a great torque , lug around town bike .
The engine comes to life over 4000 revs and has a smooth band of power there in third gear and fourth up until about 6500rpm , where another harsher surge kicks in ..until about 9500rpm .
The unrestricted Versys 650 is a lot smoother and compact for a smaller rider 5ft8 28 inch inseam.
The gear changes on the TA 750 are not as smooth without the quick shifter.
The Honda engine is quick but you have to be at it , when cruising to be honest the whole package around town and city is agricultural compared to the smooth package of the Versys 650.
The stock suspension with a heavier rider 100kg is too soft on any off road pot holes .
Standing up position is ok ,but not as good a fit for a shorter rider as the Versys 650.
The TA seems built for a 5ft 10 plus rider , except the windscreen , I have the Honda taller screen , and it is excellent …for my 5ft8 height .
The seat height is 850mm and the bike is tippy when tank is full , much like the Versys 650.
Why oh why is the Versys 650 so tall and the TA 750 so tall ?
The TA feels heavy coming to a stop on a cambered surface , you have to be precise on your braking riding either of the two bikes as the long front suspension on such heavy bikes , results in fork dive if you are not smooth and progressive on the front brake .
Bought and fitted the Honda low seat 830mm seat height …but the bike needs to be about 810mm for my height .
Have started only half filling the tank to reduce the weight by approx 6 kg , at the top of the bike .
I have a 52 Litre top box , that may influence balance when coming to a stop…it seems to catch cross winds at low speeds and at rest .
When I ride the TA for. few days straight and then ride the Versys , it is like getting out of a small fast Van into a four cylinder sports car .
Not sure if about the TA 750 , but I know I love the Versys 650.😊
