- House Democrats failed to get lawmakers to consider a bill that would repeal the near-total abortion ban. Senators passed a motion allowing for a last-minute bill.

Just to be clear, Abortion is not Birth Control. Birth control prevents a pregnancy. Abortion takes an existing pregnancy and destroys an unborn child, created in God’s image. You can use the term "reproductive care," but we all know that the little girl or boy in the womb is not receiving their fair share of that "care." Life is our most precious gift.
Those of us hate the ban but are offended by the practice of abortion truly. This is really a poor policy decision on the part of the judiciary making laws that should be enacted by the legislature. It is a form of judicial overreach that will have implications not only for abortion, but other laws as well. In addition, enforcing this law will be a bureaucractic nightmare that will in all likelihood cause more harm than good. I am thinking about that poor woman in Texas who was sent to jail because of her stillborn afterbirth. Instead of punishing women, why don't we instead focus on making the world a better safer place for children and other creatures great and small?

Doesn't has the mother also the right of a chance to life? The unborn is not a citizen yet. And even if abortion would be legal, no woman would do it on a regular bases.

Leaving aside the rights and wrongs of the matter, if Republicans don't compromise on this and allow abortion on demand during at least the first ten weeks of the pregnancy, what's going to be passed through the initiative process will be far more radical than that. The pro-life people who are refusing to compromise on this are fools.
