Check our comprehensive tutorial on the latest JetEngine 2.11 release, which is focused on relationships in WordPress. JetEngine’s Relations functionality is totally remastered to allow more flexibility and adding extra features. Let’s look what’s new:
◼ Old and new WordPress relationships work in parallel without conflicts for all comfortable with the previous version
◼ “Convert into the new format” functionality to transfer all posts automatically (yet, you’ll need to change macros manually)
◼ From now on, all WordPress relationships you set are stored in a separate table not to attach to the post meta and create more other types of relations
◼ You can create child or parent items right from the related object editing area
◼ Labels functionality is implemented to adjust and assign personal labels for controls, buttons, and boxes in the editing area
◼ From this moment, WordPress custom fields relationships are also possible
◼ Related Items are filterable, thanks to compatibility with the JetSmartFilters plugin

This is an excellent feature to have and I commend you on a video well done. I’m new to the Crocoblock applications and the learning curve for a user like myself is a bit steep. I can see the value of your applications and the power behind their focus on database efficiency.
Most of your tutorial videos seem geared toward the real estate and travel industry. In addition, most are not in keeping with the latest release versions. I would like to see tutorials and updated documentation geared more toward e-commerce dedicated to product sales using these features as that is a larger industry. Again, great job on the production of such a powerful application.

I couldn't get child posts to show using "related siblings". I changed it to "related items" and it worked fine.
You save my free day, i'm so stress for find out why not working... No documentary, no explain, no help.... Why they updated too soon ...
Because of Erik we found that "Related Siblings" do not work between a posts relation, I was looking for it 3 hours. Croco you need to mention that.

Hello Crocoblock and community. I want to build an online local community directory where locals can upload their business listings from different townships. We have a lot of townships in nine different provinces where users can list their businesses. Geo-Location plugins are complicated to work with so I wanted to use JetEngine query builder to only show the listings from WHERE the USER is browsing from. Is it possible to store the user preferences in a pop-up form such as "TOWNSHIP" as a cookie variable in the browser and use it in all query builders listings to narrow down the listings to a particular township. This cookie should be store until the user closes the browser and ends his/her session. I hope I am making sense.

This video doesn't work for what it proposes, I spent more than an hour trying to show a child post type, exactly as Kate teaches, but the "Related Sibilings" option didn't work at all... until I went to read the documentation and I saw that in this case you have to use "Related Items" in the "Post & Page" tab with the same options that she teaches in the video.
Will the Dynamic Templates be updated using this update? This new Relations would be perfect for the findero template for users, (Agents) to Properties relation.

Hello Crocoblock how are you? I'm trying to relate 2 CPTs, where the 1st CPT is "book" and the 2nd CPT is the "book platform", a 1 to n relationship, because 1 book can be sold on several platforms. I created the platform's CPT and included in it the "book" field that shows the combo of all books from the "book" CPT post. Then I created the listing grid "book" with only the field "book" which is an ID; next, I created the "platform" listing grid, which includes the "book" listing. That's right, the related book appears correctly using the "POST QUERY" option. However, what I really need is to create the individual page where I show a book and just below the listing grid "platform" showing all the platforms where the book is sold, right? However, I am in no way able to display the relationship on the individual book page with the corresponding platforms. Either all platforms appear, unrelated to the book, or no platform appears. I've wasted hours looking for solutions, whether with relations, with queries of all kinds and nothing works lol I'm already sleepless for a detail that I imagine must be simple, but I can't see the error. Importantly, the field names are identical in both CPTs (title-book) and I can see that this field only captures the ID and not the actual title. I've already gone through all the videos from Crocoblock and several youtubers and nothing similar to my case!!! Thank you if you can help.

What are right now the advantages to use CPT instead of always using CCT?

My Legacy grandparent relations no longer work. I want to slowly introduce this new relation functionality but have to take time to relearn it. Any reason why these legacy relations would no longer work even though they were set up correctly and worked fine prior to the 2.11 update??

ok I have watched this a lot and tried to make it work in a similar fashion whereby a CCT (categories) links to another CCT (companies) currently I have 60,000 and CPT makes search very slow - so this video does not help for that - please do a video for CCT's?

Great video, but please you should mention more about Related Siblings. It does not work between post types relation in the query builder. It need Related items.

@@Crocoblock Also das Thema mit der Relation hat sich erledigt! Ich hab aber eine andere Frage. Kann man es irgend wie ermöglichen das die bilder aus der Mediathek gelöscht werden? Ich dachte ich könnte es vieleicht mit der relation machen aber das ist viel zu umständlich. ich hab es zwar hin bekommen eine Mediathek mit dem Listing Grid zu erstellen aber um die bilder aus der Mediathek zu löschen müsste ich es mit dem Dynamic Link realiesieren und das fühlt sich irgend wie auch falsch an auch wenn es geht.
Daher währe es doch am einfachsten wenn man die bilder direkt über das Post Bearbeitungsformular aus der Mediathek löschen könnte.

Relationships do not work with custom taxonomies. For example: If I want to create Custom Taxonomy Archive and then in this archive, I need to show the child relationship taxonomy listing. But then I see its not working.🥲
