This was the place of my childhood. The beach is not as pretty as some of the other places around the country. Known for fresh seafood, as there are several fishing communities along the water. This was where the old brass, I believe even in colonial time, used to have their vacation homes here. I have not been back, but would imagine that even with growth, it's not as touristy as some of the other beach places in Viet Nam, such as Nha Trang. This brings back many fond memories for me. Hope you'll enjoy Vung Tau for what it is.

Can you give me the hotel name please ?
it is the Annata Beach Hotel. Good value for the money but definitely not a luxury place. Just had breakfast and it was fine too..
Very nice...I didn't know that we can ride a boat to reach vung tau from Saigon .
The price is 13€ one way right ?
Yes, one way. You can get the tickets a bit cheaper if you book in advance. the company name is Greenline.
