Awesome start to a project ,
Thanks. So far so good.
Love your Yankee ingenuity. Can't wait for the rest of the ride seeing her come together. Thx
Thank you.
That is a win. A big one condidering what could have happened. I do all my best project work in OSHA approved flip flops. Be well.
Haha. Flip flops with socks I hope. Thanks for watching.
I love your flinch and weld technique! 🤪 keep up the good videos 👍
Haha. Just don't look at it, you'll be fine.
My hot rod has a 39 trans and a hot flatty, Cyclone intake, 2 97s, Navarro heads, Winfield A1A cam, balanced, trick vibration damper, 50s Mallory distributor, runs pretty good. I would not call it slow.
Sounds like a really nice build.
People getting hurt is what adds up to more views... Afterall, that's what put Iron Trap garage on the map yrs ago...😆
We seldom get hurt. This is really a pretty safe way to lift the body. I doubt it weighs more than 500lb and it's being lifted with a 2 ton crane and two 1 ton chain falls. I've seen the irontrap guys do some sketchy stuff but I don't recall anyone getting hurt.
@@Maine_A_S Matt was doing his T roadster and was bending pipe and nearly took out Mike.
If it's not sketchy you're not doing it right!😆
@@glennnickerson8438 Haha. I must have missed that episode.
Now, you can have some fun and spend some money.
Hopefully I won't have to spend too much as I'm pretty sure I have most of the parts I'll need. We'll see how it goes.
Curious: what was the number you found on the frame? Should be a Star, then A, then about 7 digits, ending with another 5-pointed star.
There is only 3 numbers that were legible and they must have been in the middle because neither star was visible.
@@Maine_A_S I was hoping the first 3 or so would be visible. That would narrow the assembly date down to a month and year. Many times, the frames are so pitted that the numbers are even hard to find.
@@ModelARickLasCruces The pitting isn't too bad in that area but the stampings are just so shallow, it doesn't take much for them to vanish. All I know for sure is that it doesn't match the engine # and that it is a 30-31 frame.
@@Maine_A_S Looking forward to the rest of your build! Back in the 1960s, I had a 1929 Tudor body on a 1930 Frame and a 48 Ford Flattie with 3 twos. Was a real lo dollar build (I was just 20) but I had a ball with it.
@@ModelARickLasCruces Sounds like a fun little car. Thanks for following along.
Looks like a 31 body
The car was all pieced together. The body is a 31.
