So I've been getting acne here and there because we should wear mask now. I use the Skin1004 centella ampoule, and it has been helping to calm down and dry out the active acnes that I have. I don't really notice a big difference when my skin is perfectly fine, but when I have acne this product really does wonders for my skin.
Since so many of us use tretinoin, or another Retin A, it would be extremely helpful when evaluating products to indicate how the would be used with tretinoin. Thank you for considering this request.
I have been using the Skin1004 Centella Toner every other morning and found it super calming while also lightly exfoliating the skin. It gives my skin a really beautiful glow. Also no noticeable fragrance if you’re wondering. Great stuff!
I LOVE the Skin1004 Centella! It my fave new product. The first few uses I didn’t notice anything and then after that I started noticed great changes in my skin. Try it consistently for a longer period, I think you’ll love it.
I have been using the centella ampoule for about a week now and my skin already looks brighter, my acne is clearing up and my face is super duper hydrated. ( I have dry sensitive skin) I am amazed by how much it’s helped my skin. Not saying this will work for everyone but I love it personally

Hi Dr. Dray, I'm so excited about the recent, unexpected Kbeauty content. I've already used some of these products, but I'm excited to hear your thoughts. Thanks for the informative videos! :)
Incidentally, I'm using the Skin1004 Centella Ampoule myself. It is a very basic formulation and I like the fact that the likelihood of sensitive reactions is lower.
I love that centella ampoule too. Although I do wonder what they really mean by "100% extract" as someone said to me that anything extracted and then diluted in water can still be called a 100% extract. It's a very hydrating serum tho and it lasts a long time because they come in a 100 ml bottle.
Have you used a different centella product before? I didn’t dislike the 1004 but it was vastly inferior to the Purito centella serum (for me at least) in terms of skin soothing.
@@Jl2damax I have used the Purito serum too! I think that one made my skin plumper and hydrated but didn't notice a big difference in my acne. It has different ingredients too so that may be why. Their centella toner is amazing tho, it is similar to the serum but I liked it more.
I love the Pyunkang yul moisturizer. I also reviewed this recently. I use it as a daily moisturizer from time to time but only use it solely if I know I'm going to be in a windowless room the whole day. Or I'll use it 30 minutes before applying a mineral sunscreen.
I bought the iunik beta glucan by accident and what can I say, it saved my dehydrated winter skin. One of the best thing is, it works perfectly with my moisturizer and sunscreen.
Do you use the moisturizer? I used to use the Iunik Centalla Gel but feel like I need to upgrade to the Beta glucan line because I recently moved and the new climate is torturing my skin!
@@marinebl544 YES, I have combo skin and the moisturizer is just a perfect choice tbh. I just purchased my 4th bottle of it haha I don t wanna risk changing it
I believe in Korea any ingredient at less than 0.5% can be left off the ingredient list. And "centella asiatica extract" will also contain a lot of water. So, they might sell "100% centella" when it is 99% water
@@idreamofpeony It's a difference in labelling regulation according Annikacoherent. I don't think it's really possible to add 50-70% Centella extract to a product, not only would the cost of the ingredients then be higher than the price of these products, it's not very soluble in water either. Suppliers recommend 0.5-1.5% of the pure centella extract. CIR say the maximum use is about 0.00002-0.5%. So maybe it's not mandatory in Korea to list the solvent and preservative that are present in the plant extract mixture or something. It's often the first ingredient strangely enough. Just like the Purito 90% Hyaluronic acid. You can't physically add more than 1-2% Sodium Hyaluronate, so this refers to the mixture how they bought it from the supplier, in the EU you wouldn't see 90% Sodium Hyaluronate liquid on a label.
It definitely wasn't like water to me, nor particularly soothing, so this makes sense. I don't usually need to put moisturizer on after my serums in these humid warm months, but this was stinging my skin about 20 mins. after I put it on, so I had to follow up with a moisturizer to sort of dilute it. (Only put 2 drops on my entire face to begin with.) I got less irritation from the glycolic acid I was testing on my neck than this 'calming' product I'd bought to use after glycolic acid on my face, that I thought I wouldn't even need to test. Maybe I'm allergic to one of the ingredients.
The K-Beauty products I currently use and like are Isntree AHA 8% Essence, Bonajour Green Tea Water Bomb, and Purito Centella Unscented Serum. The AHA essence has lavender stem extract and rosemary extract but it has no scent. It is 4% glycolic and 4% lactic (I think the pH is around 3.5 since the brand suggests that)
Dr. Dray...if you like the I Am Rice Toner, you would probably LOVE Mebika’s Moist Lotion which is a Japanese hydrating toner that’s based on rice in multiple forms including rice ferments, a variety of good-for-your-skin botanicals such as artemisia, soy, licorice root, royal jelly, ginseng, and 5 different ceramides. It’s a bit thicker than water, very brightening, and so hydrating that you only need a light moisturizer or SPF and your skin remains dewy without being greasy or sticky for the rest of the day. It also comes in a large bottle, is inexpensive, and has no added fragrance or essential oils. I stopped using a First Treatment Essence because Mebika was giving me greater benefits. 🌸💕
This serum is the only Centella product that has never broken me out, made my skin red and irritated or caused contact dermatitis like every other Centella product. Why? Because it is basic, and doesn’t contain any active ingredients etc. Doesn’t contain Niacinamide, green tea or tea tree which are all major triggers and causes breakouts on my sensitive Rosacea fungal acne skin. So hard to fond basic products now days that aren’t loaded with plants, and actives.
Happy Friday Dr. Dray, thanks to you I‘ve cut out all my essence, toner. Retina and sunscreen only and my skin has been looking great! Thank you so much for making a difference. Have a great weekend.
Thanks for the PY sun cream review! I’ve been waiting to hear your thoughts. I’ve been loving it so far and the glowy look that it gives my skin. The texture is really nice, too!

I love the rice toner for summer, especially for really hot summer days. I quite like the products from “I’m from”, they used to have a vitamin tree mask which was absolutely AMAZING but they seem to have discontinued it
I love the Pyunkang Yul sun cream! I have acne-prone, dry, and sensitive skin (from prescription topicals) and it's perfect. Doesn't make acne worse and very hydrating. I need a physical sunscreen because I get malasma easily but I can NOT put on layer after layer of zinc oxide throughout the day. I don't know why, but zinc oxide makes my skin dry to the extreme (even versions that are supposed to be hydrating) and seems to mess with my skin barrier big time. If I'm going outside I will layer a zinc based physical sunscreen over this one and it's a good balance. But honestly if I'm indoors all day away from bright windows this has been great for my skin day to day since I can't handle zinc 100% of the time.
OMG, I relate to literally EVERYTHING you wrote in your comment! The Pyunkang Yul sunscreen is helping my skin so much right now, especially in these cold and dry winter months.

Not sure how long you used this for to speculate it does not work. 🤔 Thought you will highly approve this because it has no scent which is awesome for sensitive skin. I just got Centella. I like it. I have acne around my neck since I got pregnant. I did not use anything during pregnant. I was hope it will get better after birth. But, it was getting worse. It seems all acne are not going anywhere. Since I use centella. It is getting better.
I actually prefer be plain cica ampoule than skin 1004 cica ampoule . I am sensitive and I don't know why skin1004 ampoule irritates my skin. In korea there is an app called 화해 and they have the ranking of the popular skin care with a detailed ingredients if you might get an allergy from the product itself. it is in korean but I think it is so useful to know whats the trend in Korea . I hope this helps ☺️
Great video Dr.! I agree about the ampoule, it didn't do anything that much for me. I like that it comes in a 100 ml bottle rather than the standard 50 ml but in terms of soothing effects, it works rather slow. If I were to compare with the Illiyoon soothing gel and this ampoule, the gel works much faster. In terms of hydration, it was pretty mediocre. I didn't see that much difference on my skin yet this product from Skin1004 is rather popular in my country 😂. Is kinda gimmicky if you ask me. I haven't tried the toner, but it was also one of the most purchased amongst their Madagascar Centella line along with their facial cleanser. They also have their Hyaluron-Centella line as well.
Happy Holidays Dr. Dray! I've been using the Aveeno Eczema Therapy Moisturizer for over a year now and I've loved it. Recently though, maybe in the past 3 months, I've been getting little bumps like KP on my legs. Should I change my moisturizer? Which one would you recommend?
The pyunkang yul essence toner caused under the skin pimples for me, the ones that have their own heartbeat and never come to a head. I have dry skin and I feel like it dried my skin...
The other serum from skin 1004 sounds good based on the ingredients i think its named brightening serum it has centella asiatica 4 percent niacinamide and 2 percent tranxemic acid
I’d love to hear what you have to say about the Skin1004 toner. I like the I’m From rice toner and the beta glucan serum. They are both soothing and the rice toner really brightened my skin after starting to use it. I really like a lotion/serum with sea buckthorn from Stratia. I can’t thank you enough for recommending the Calm and Restore and also the Cerave oil serum. They are both wonderful.
Could we get a video of all time favorite korean products? 😻 Also a sea buckthorn product I love is the sea buckthorn cream from purito. Surprisingly it doesn’t bother my rosacea. Their unscented centella serum is wonderful too 😍 that did wonders for quickly healing some dermatitis and acne inflammation I had got last year when trying a new face wash at the same time I’d changed birth controls
Thank you so much! I love korean skincare. Could you share your opinion on the brand Jumiso, specifically the all day vitamin serum? Its first ingredient is sea buckthorn extract and I've been wondering is the vitamin A in it works somehow similar to retinol. It also has niacinamide.
Dr dray, do you recommend differin or the avene triacneal emulsion (has retinaldehyde) for targetting dark leftover acne scars ? Would love your opinion on this ❤️
Dr. Dray, would you make some videos on shaving lady parts and after care? I’m really curious to know what kind of products should be ABSOLUTELY avoided there or APPRECIATED there.
Hello everyone... hopefully you and loved ones are healthy and very safe!! I used one bottle of that I’m from Rice Toner... to me it was very emollient it looked kind of greasy on my normal skin... so I won’t go back to it!!
Dr. Dray is a blessing to us all! I really hope she reaches 1 million subscribers, and hopefully many more, because she really deserves it! She is a wealth of knowledge!💕
I am sure you have heard about the purito controversy. The centella spf 50+ is actually about a 15 to 19 spf. You can get a refund if bought from yesstyle by clicking on their customer service.
I feel so vindicated that Dr Dray agrees how terrible the I’m from rice mask is. There was so much hype over this product and I got it to incorporate more fermented rice in my skincare. Like Dr Dray said…it was really bad, very abrasive from the rice husk and makes a mess of your sink. I also found that it left a film on my skin. I tried rinsing it off lightly with water to avoid more abrasion but at the end I had to wipe it off with a washcloth to get rid of that weird grippy film in the skin.

My YesStyle box arrived on Tuesday full of sunscreen and a couple Sana soy moisturisers, delighted!! Then wrapped together My Rice Toner and IUnik Beta Glucan Serum woohoo second purchases I just love the ingredients and they do what they do...hydrate and glow a tad! Love you mentioned these 👍
Appreciate the info. Dr Dray & everyone have a great Friday.
I'm still making my own fermented rice water that you featured on one of your pasted videos, my hair has never been so nice! My skin seems to be enjoying the rice water also, very bright and clear 🙂
Happy Friday Almost the weekend 🎅🍁
I tried making the rice water, but I couldn’t get past the smell, once it fermented! I just thought anything that smells that bad can’t be good for your hair and face !
I love iunik so much. Their centella moisturizer and snail serum have helped me so much.
What benefits did you notice from the iunik snail serum?
Could you make an entire video on different good but also cruelty free and or sustainable products? Love from Slovakia xo
Here are some other resources for that: cassandra bankson (med esty), peaches skin care (holistic master esty), natural health resources (holistic), cruelty free becky (U.K.; sustainable fashion/beauty), naturally beautiful girl (chemist), the clean beauty code, conscious bee, clean beauty barbara, crueltyfreeveganbeauty (does use honey)
@@db-gb5xi not really looking for natural products tho or "clean beauty" id just like to know which effective ones that we all know and hear about anyways are cruelty free for example :) also happy holidays
"the linebacker upstairs is doing drills" made my day hahahaha
Oh we must have the same neighbor upstairs.
Neighbors can slowly drive you mad. I can’t believe Dr Dray and I are the only ones with sounds coming through the wall/floor. 🤨🧐
Love Dr Dray's sense of humour 😂
Super! We want more of korean skincare reviews 😁 Thanks, dr. Dray
You're very close to a million subs! ❤
thank you so much for all of your support
Jee Jean Medel I'm rooting for her hitting 1M before the year ends. She deserves it!
@@connie6410 Indeed! like very much! I keep on sharing her videos on fb skincare groups. People need to have reliable skincare related sources

Hi Naddy N hope you are having a lovely evening and a great start to the weekend 😀 enjoy friend 🥰🎄⛄❄
Greetings Naddy N hope u r well n Happy Friday😀👍💜.....
nice to see you this happy Dr Dray!
I am using a Pyunkang yul suncreen right now and i love it! I know that it maybe has a less coverage that the most suncreams but that was my only choise to by in the online store that will ship to my contry because sadly yesstyle doesnt😔 i will definitely switch to another sunscreen when i run out, in the summer maybe! But she has 75 ml witch is huge and because i am a broke student it was great for me! I will deffenitely try a Obagi one! Great review😊
You should check out the new I’m from rice cream and serum 💕
Just received the rice toner today! Can't wait to use it!
How was it? Effective?
Love this topic! Happy Friday dr. Dray and peeps❤️❤️❤️☀️☀️☀️☀️
Happy Friday!
@@DrDrayzday 😊 😊
Happy Friday Reed enjoy your day 😊
I love YesStyle I get all my stuff from there! Also, Dr. Dray, what do you think about kikunasamune sake products?
I have been using the Centella Madagascar Toner I really like it , I also have the one you have together I've had good results.
The pyunkang yul essence toner caused under the skin pimples for me, the ones that have their own heartbeat and never come to a head. I have dry skin and I feel like it dried my skin...
hope you have an awesome weekend ahead everyone xo
You too!!
Enjoy your Tony J 😃
Would you ever do a review on the neutrogena skin balancing cleansers? I would love to see your input on these cleansers!
Every Korean skin care product I use is a wow! Actually, every skin care product I use is a wow! I got lucky with my purchases!
The other serum from skin 1004 sounds good based on the ingredients i think its named brightening serum it has centella asiatica 4 percent niacinamide and 2 percent tranxemic acid
Happy Friday.!!!
Just received the I am From Toner.

@@marizzy63 : Happy Frosty Friday! Lol... Have a Blessed day my friend!☃️🎄👋
@@franceskennedy2938 you too friend 🥰❄⛄
I’d love to hear what you have to say about the Skin1004 toner. I like the I’m From rice toner and the beta glucan serum. They are both soothing and the rice toner really brightened my skin after starting to use it. I really like a lotion/serum with sea buckthorn from Stratia. I can’t thank you enough for recommending the Calm and Restore and also the Cerave oil serum. They are both wonderful.
Appreciate the review!! Love that u review Korean skincare!!
Happy Friday, Dr Dray!!! Stay blessed and safe!
You too!
Could we get a video of all time favorite korean products? 😻
Also a sea buckthorn product I love is the sea buckthorn cream from purito.
I love the way you explain Dr.Dray
