Thank you Carol. You always give us so many suggestions for stitching. You are under the weather and I hope you get to feeling much better. I will be going to the University of Utah to see if I am eligible for a lung transplant. I meet with them on April 4. I hope that I will be a candidate and that one becomes available. I shouldn’t tell you all my negative information, but its funny how close you come to people you meet in the stitching community. I feel very close to you just following your floss tube. Anyway, your encouragement means a lot to me. I truly hope the weather improves and that your old gets much much better. Thanks for all you do for us and I will be in touch with you! Love ya!!!!

I'm so sorry you are under the weather, I also have some sort of crud, thought it was allergies, but it has morphed into a bad cold and laryngitis, no voice at all. I hope you feel better soon! You have so many beautiful starts and kits, quite a few that I hadn't seen before. So much temptation! I have had Dutch Beauty kitted for years, I am like you, I need to just jump in and start. I’m stitching GigiR’s Polka Dot Cow as I’m watching this, all done except working my way across the bottom- the tassels were not hard, you can actually count the threads for them. For the ropes they are attached to I used a fabric marking pen to lightly draw where I wanted them to go, then chain stitched to cover those markings. Not too difficult. It’s as beautiful as you think it is 😍. Hope you both feel better soon.

Thanks Carol! I love GiGiR and have the polka dot cow ready to start. Maybe this year or next. I’ve started the Milk Maid by Scarlet Letter that May take the rest of my life. So envious you are going to Gainesville! I think I told you I got my MS in dairy science and started a PhD at UFl. I got many cross stitch charts and had things framed at a great shop in Gainesville. I’ll have to look at the backs of some pieces to see the name of the shop. My son was born at Shand’s Hospital in 1987. The more I watch your FlossTubes the more I know we have similar likes. Although stitching since I was 14 and now 62, I have nowhere near your experience. I am all about finding all the cow samplers to stitch although fall in love with many others along the way. I’m using 40 ct buttercream by lakeside linens. It’s a soft yellowish cream color.

I hope you are feeling better soon. I love the things that you are sharing and would like to figure out how to stitch in hand. I am a quilter, so familiar with hand stitching but my hand movements don't seem to translate to crosstitch. Can you recommend a video? Thanks for your videos.

Think bottom left to top right, then up top left to bottom right, THEN go 4 threads over to bottom left of the next stitch over to the left. So you’re constantly moving left.
Then turn your entire piece upside down to come back.

Loved your floss tube. Get better soon! When you stitch something like Midsummer Nights Dream do you start and end your stitches on every letter?
