Steve Wonder had lived through so many people that he worked with and known over the years. People like Marvin Gaye, Michael Jackson, Prince, Aretha Franklin, Minnie Ripperton, Bill Weathers, 4 of the original members of The Temptations, Whitney Houston and his hero Ray Charles.
The only person with as much impact on what it is to be a multi-talented musician for me is Prince. As a huge fan of both, I've always thought that the only real comparison to P was Stevie - not the tediously trotted out MJ debate. Two musicians who could walk into an empty studio alone and come back out with a killer album composed, performed and produced alone... For me... It' s only Stevie and Prince.
Stereotyping artists is just stupid ...and many great artists like Minnie reperton and even many artists who were and who are struggling for it... should their talent recognised..stop stereotyping it doesn't work...
