I love mine Sirui 50mm. Great review!! Question, Can you mix footages filmed with anamorphic lens (Sirui 50mm) and Non- anamorphic lens?
Can you tell us how to change settings for the video when we editing or how to squeeze?
woudn't it be better to crop inside the video? wouldn't you get a smaller focal equivalent?from my understanding this 35 mm is an apsc-quivalent (23mm in full frame???)
my gh5 and the blackmagic cams do the desqueezing in camera

I guess. this lens could induce new life to an older camera like the A6000. The sensor is still up to date but the auto-focus is not as good as on a A6400.

Hi everybody.....its an interesting lens but I have a doubt about that F1.8 aperture....to me looks F2.8...all the footage that you find on youtube you may compare it with an 50 mm F1.5 normal lens and you'll see the difference... there is no F1.8mm ....it is possible that sirui crooked this lens and instead of selling an f2.8mm lens they are selling F1.8...?

Hi Vincent ! Sony a6400- a6500 would be perfect for this lens!
but for pictures its gonna be some kind difficult to fix on postproduction the squeeze is very pronounced and for stills would be some kind of tricky but not impossible !

really good informations. My setup is the xt4 + Zhiyun Weebill s an the sirui. But the footage looks shake / bounce.
Have you tips for me? At my standard lens (fuji 18-55) it is all ok. Balancing, set up the correct focal length is all done.

Great review, thanks for NOT saying JJ Abrams, referring to the blue lens flares! I'm SO tired of people using his name for the flaring on anamorphics.
Hahahah let's be honest, he does use it a lot and unfortunately, the new Star Wars isn't cutting it for me :(
@@MomentumProductions1992 Yes he does, but he is a producer/director (and a bad one at that) I agree, he has ruined Star Wars! I just get super annoyed at the name reference to the flairs by everyone else, except you! :)
@@ohshowproductionsllc I think there is a little bit of an obssesion with anamorphic and flares. In all honesty flares are the less desirable aspect of lenses.
@@daviddejuannavarro291 That's a great point David, I agree with you, personally I don't like them and in other reviews of this lens there are more flares than most would bargain for!
