  • I believe this is a woods bushhog that my uncle owns. We took the bar off so that we could take the gearbox off it.

    Thanks for this post. I just used this method today (13 March 2019) with threaded rod to get at my bearing. It worked great with an 18" and a 24" pipe wrench.

    forget about the seal, just pump it full of john deere cornhead grease,

    no way to simplify the act of dis-assembly of any hog i've seen. the cheap-ass one i own
    doesn't even have a hole in deck to remove blades - so i guess the pivot sling bar and stump jumper dish must come off there aint no room for jack bolts i've had a stoke - now no muscle- can yall spare some the old guys ihere to help me!
