Glad she survived coming out of her movement. I saw many that didnt survive, that instead, became bitter from the hurt and stopped walking with Jesus altogether.
My ex Pentecostal pastor would preach that you won’t go to heaven if you don’t pay tithes. This makes it seem like you have to give the church (God) money to go to heaven. God don’t charge a fee to get into heaven.
I truly believe that everything you have been through has led you to this moment. To help others understand how to be truly free in Jesus. I am sorry for the pain and hurt you have experienced but I am also glad you experienced it so you could help thousands of individuals to understand salvation. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. ❤❤❤
I just shared this to my Facebook. Beautiful testimony Natalie. I too understand the liberty of escaping the "Borg" Church. ( A Little Star Trek reference for those who don't know know)
I've heard hyper-fundamentalists quote Jeremiah 6:16 and change it's meaning to mean to fit their narrative. It says to ask for the old paths and walk therein. They cherry-picked this one so bad and they still use it referring to their version of holiness they cling to. Jeremiah 6:16 is a word from the Lord that is telling the children of Israel to get back to living by the law of Moses. If we ask for this old path we are rejecting Christ, but they use it over and over and the more you correct them, the more they use it.
I was in a conservative mennonite church for 10 years. They were very sincere, morally pure people that I consider to be true followers of Christ. However, it was highly legalistic and this resulted in me deciding to leave. My next church was a more liberal mennonite church with very few rules. I was there for 5 years. Nice people but too morally lax. Alcohol was permitted and the overall demeanor reflected the reality that many of them were just seeking an escape from their conservative upbringing. So from my experience, it seems that so many of those that leave conservative churches end up wrecking their testimony by taking Romans 14 way, way too far. This just reinforces the point of view of the conservatives and leads to more legalism. It would be nice if those that leave legalistic churches stop doing the nonsensical " 0 to 60" transformation that leads to bringing shame to the Christian faith. If you whine about legalism but end up drinking alcohol, dressing loosely ( even by worldly standards), using foul language, etc. You really haven't gained anything. It is true that american christianity has gone to hell in a handbasket. The solution is not legalism nor unbridled christian liberty. We need to make intelligent, God honoring decisions in our everyday lives. I will say however that if I had to pick which side has the upper hand on a better witness, I would say those conservative yet legalistic mennonites win by a landslide.
The Bible is super clear that getting drunk is a sin... drinking alcohol, however, is not unless you have a personal conviction against it. ruclips.net/video/MRpA4njHF64/видео.htmlsi=RpDmhLV5CYIz-sZt
@@waynemershon4622 spoken very well. I have seen the same thing with the “holiness” people in my area. Most who see their leaders lies and read “some” of the Bible they end up exactly like you said!!! I am so glad Natalie is a GREAT example of how to escape the lies and hold to Jesus while having to adjust to living in true salvation and not man made rules.
I think this is a message espousing moderation in all things. Do not warp God's word with political affiliation or cherry pick verses to justify behaviours. Gods message is a simple one, humble yourselves, repent and be saved. Please pray that I too may accomplish this.
This is the closest to my own experiences I've ever heard. What a joy, treasure and living hope are those words : In Christ alone 💥🥳🔥

This was great, thanks for sharing your testimony :)

Very well said. Continue to spread the truth and freedom of Jesus and not the man made traditions.

This is awesome. Thanks so much. So simple and true.
Thank u for this 😭
Very good!! My belief is, we are saved thru grace by faith, in that tho we are required to follow the Holy Spirit. It's imperative to be saved.
You did't lose your ministry. The Holy Spirit removed the shackles from your heart which had been placed on His Gospel. Truth set you free.
Well done my sister in Christ.
I just shared this to my Facebook.

1 John 3:23 "And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment."

This is good preaching.
Amen 👏
Wonderful 💯
Coming out of the LDS church (Mormons) and this couldn’t be more true! Thanks sooo much for this message! Bless you!❤
Sharing with as many “2x2s” as possible!
thanks it got to me and I love you for it!!
Quite the parallel isn’t there? I’ve watched it twice.
Hyper-Fundamentalist is the exact term!

So, as most do, you just ran from church to church until you found one that told you what you want to hear. .....

Can't believe this is happening in the USA...wow!!
