He is so right!!! When you don’t conform the people who say are your friends …. They will disown you and ignore you. It’s been over two years since I was warned to change so I quit going to their church and no one that was in my “circle” has ever been to my home and they do not invite me to events. I would always send Happy Thanksgiving or Merry Christmas. This year I decided not to be the first to send Happy Thanksgiving and none of them sent me a text of Happy Thanksgiving. It let me know to just stop trying to reach out to people who actually do not want to talk or be around me.

A lot of these folks want to conform to this world, that’s all it boils down too. I was away from God for a long time And have been in yals shoes And God refilled me with the HolyGhost and now I’m Grateful for the UPCI and grateful for my Pastor setting a standard, they’re not rules to keep you bound and confined they’re rules to keep you safe, these are not Cults, this breaks my heart, I knew Daniel from Bible quizzing 😢

Posted below; Chritisn conference would be an excellent opportunity to connect with a community of support as you disentangle.

Talking about fear: At a funeral of a former pastor who it was said had a discerning spirit, bawling out peoples' sin in church, the tribute says alot of people were scared of her. The funeral audience seemed to think this was normal. The gospel is about being scared of sinning!

The gospel message is bizarre beyond words and I can't believe that people in this 21st century still believe it.

Secular counseling does NOT understand spiritual concepts. I have contacted several counseling groups and have been told they are accepting new patients, and that I can be seen and then a day or two later they call back with apologies that they do not have openings.

By the way , "in Jesus name" does not mean the baptizer saying those exact words when the person being baptized is going under the water. No baptism described in the New testament tells us what the baptizer actually said. "In Jesus name" really means people are baptizer under the authority of what Jesus did on the cross. This was to distinguish baptism associated with the gospel from other types of baptism.

So when the disciples said that demons were subject to them through His Name, that didn't mean verbal usage? I ask because Paul actually said, "in the Name of Jesus" when he commanded the spirit of divination to come out in Acts 16. Peter also said out loud, "in the Name of Jesus" when the lame man was healed in Acts 3.
Hint: based on your argument, nothing needs to be said when someone is baptized in the trinity. So it's either a silent baptism, Peter disobeyed Jesus OR Peter did exactly what Jesus said by pronouncing the Name of Jesus over them.

@@shaunbutler238 In reference to acting under the authority of what was done on the cross. That's the spirit of the expression, NOT a command to say the exact words. Question: if this was so important and essential to salvation( saying thee exact words at baptism), how comes none of the baptisms in the New Testament told us exactly what was said ? Why was this not made an explicit command? Believers you must say these exact words when going down under water! The Greek manuscripts from which the Bible is translated makes it clear the whole idea behind the words" In the name of Jesus".
Look at Colosians 2 v 17: And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
Is this saying everything you do or say must be accompanied by the words "In the name of LORD JESUS"? Absolutely not! It's acknowledgement about what Jesus has done on the cross guiding your life. It's not a legalistic command to say exact words.

Oneness and Trinitarian are the same just explained differently by both groups. If you left oneness and became Trinitarian you really did not change theology just to a side more popular among Christianity.
Both Oneness and Trinitarian believe something about Jesus that the apostles never taught in the Book of Acts and that is Jesus is God. Yes you can quote me 1 Tim 3:16 John 20:28 Titus 2:13 and all those parrot repeat what you been told verses but look for yourself in the book that the early church began in and that is Acts.

The only your sins are forgiven is obeying Acts 2:38
Its the only salvation formular and without ..we going to hell
Its the evil teaching of UPCI
They are the gate keepers of heaven
They don't meant it like that
But it's what this doctrine is causing
