Kaohsiung is indeed one of world's most underrated cities, I had a great time doing a video on the city as well. Glad to know you had a great time in Kaohsiung! I could move there ☺️
Kaohsiung was the only city I've ever visited where everyone I saw was smiling. And not just to me, but with each other. Various cool things to see and visit (Guang Shan!!) Really great city!
Thank you for this awesome video about this oft-overlooked city! When I bring my friends from the States to visit Taiwan, most of them actually prefer Kaohsiung to Taipei for its beauty and nature. It has changed so much since I left 12 years ago. I especially love all the unique buildings and architecture that have cropped up just within the last decade(!) like the library, the Weiwuying arts center, the China Steel building, the exhibition center, and the Dadong Arts Center. Taking the light rail is a really easy and nice way to get a good view of most of these buildings!
Taiwan seems like one of the best countries that I have never seen. I always like seeing videos about Taiwan. This city in particular is a must if I get there. The people seem really nice.
I lived in Taiwan for 2 years. Mostly between Tainan and Hualien, but I have been all over Taiwan, and Kaohsiung is only a half hour by car from Tainan, and I came here often. Taiwan is my favorite place in the world. I miss it.
Glad you had a great time in my hometown! I enjoyed your fantastic video about KH so much. Hope to see you on the street some time once you come back for another visit. You are always welcomed :)
Thank you so much for your amazing videos. It gives a sense of almost like staying in the city and knowing it well. Hope you will be bringing more videos like this in future once again thank you so much.
Clean. Safe. Civilized. NO GUNS. NO DRUGS. Looking at some of the utterly useless and corrupt governments throughout the world You can't help but ADMIRE just how well run this country is. Absolutely mind blowing.
Kaohsiung used to be the 2th biggest city in Taiwan but it's population was caught up by that of Taichung in 2018. Many foreigners prefer living in Kaohsiung to Taichung because their administrative levels used to be different. Taichung hadn't been authorized a metropolis until 2010 while Kaohsiung has been ordained a metropolis for more than 40 years and developed much earlier. Besides, Kaohsiung is a port city with beautiful mountain sceneries and Love river runs through the city. All make it more attractive.
Such a great summary of this Kaohsiung City. Just come from a trip there for the third time and always feel i missed something to do. Greetings from Taichung City !
I like Kaohsiung too. Thank you for this awesome introductory video : D Only one thing I noticed in the video is the Kaohsiung Martyrs Shrine... the year when it was demolished triggered by the diplomatic relation with Japan is actually 1972. Anyway, it is a great clip :) Thank you again!!!
Thanks for the beautiful video! I used to spend 6 months a year in Taiwan, being Gaoxiong as my basis. There's a huge Latin colony there, so sometimes I used Spanish more than English or Chinese (Taiyu local) -- did you know that it's locally called "Coyong" (ko-heong) -- much to the amusement of many Latin residents!? Well, the local speaking residents, especially from Fengshan like it too!
40 mins to xchange $100 , so what's the record ? Mebbe the calci broke down .Great vid as usual .KS is really a beautiful City , to think that they went about and beautified it after it was industrialized is something impressive .What I like best was that there were no crowds in most places and it was surrounded by nature.
Previous Ofw in Kaoshuing Taiwan so many beautiful places to go they're friendly and hardworking . I miss the night market ,street foods, taiwanese celebrations and using bike. The country quiet strict implemented medical check up for their employees safe and can be for safety of their country people . I'm not surprise they seperated in Communist China and became democracy country and progressive.
@@Tyranitar66501 hahaha same I even put it on a travel fund so once Taiwan is open for tourist we will book immediately. ahahaha and what funny is I keep updating our itinerary

It is amazing. Kaohsiung changed my life. I had some misty eyes reminiscing on small spots in this video I remember spending meaningful time at.
thanks for your great comment on my hometown, if you do visit kaohsiung in the future, I will show your the New sightseeing spots after 2020~
Kaohsiung literrally giving its best definition of 'Living'. Thanks for your vid.
I am from Kaohsiung
I recommend tourists for sightseeing, November-February is the most suitable, because Kaohsiung's summer is really hot
I am from changhua …can you please recommend some best place to go, riding mrt ?we will go there maybe this February …thanks …
While it is pretty hot, I still prefer April-June and October-November. In the winter, winds blow from China and the air is quite polluted.
