The music that these individuals make is NOT "DRILL"! There is NO COMPARISON!!! Firstly these artists are from a different age and era of and in music. Secondly the music that they create is of a totally different style, message and substance. They do not glorify badness. You cannot attach someone's life story and past to the music you hear now. Music is Art. The artists tell the listener different stories. Stories about what they have been through, what they have seen and how they have been affected by this. Through that, they are able to paint a picture of honesty and at the same time, create awareness. Lessons can be learned from them. There are many people who need to hear such things from such people. Wretch more than anyone in the UK music industry and culture is a Leader. He speaks NOTHING BUT SUBSTANCE. Nothing but teaching and lessons in his music/art. They are not attached to Drill..
We should get to see more of these documentaries as we do have some really excellent music artists who are working on a influential and are positive role models
as an American who is from the birth place of Hip Hop (the Bronx) its a certain kind of special seeing hip hop spread from my home to other countries. its so humbling and beautiful. i never knew the UK had such a healthy hip hop industry. i had absolutely no clue. i sure enough didnt know they had their "biggies and jay-z's". i am looking up some UK artist now to listen to. thanks for this documentary!!
Interesting to note that ALL these 3 are in the top 10 UK rappers ever arguably. Hope business doesn't distract them from music like acting may have distracted great rappers like Ice T and Ice Cube in the USA
Like Krept, I wouldn't want to be defined as one role within that industry. I'd be so crap at rap anyway! Stayed away from this industry I'm more about the business side of things as a creative, including clothing items and stage props/staging. I like that they're British artists, not my kind of music as someone who has a voice for singing. If I wanted to go into this arena, I personally, should have done it in my 20s. Can still blow in a different genre, background melody singer or get paid for critiquing. Hmm 🤔 P.E.A.C.E
Im not hating on them for building their wealth, but selling cbd, vodka and skin products are very mediocre businesses. Just pure consumerism and profit making. You shouldn't have to own a brand or sell a product to make a living as a musician/artist. These artists are well respected and big names, I'm sure they could make enough money through their music alone, especially if they negotiated their contracts better. I'm not saying you can't have a business if you're an artist. But it should be something you're really passionate about, and not just for the money. Same with the music. Otherwise we end up with this American "culture" of rappers owning alcohol brands, rapping about popping bottles in the club, and then that becomes "culture"
This isn’t inspiring, at all. Everyone saying that is deluded. It’s sad that young black people think this is the only way they can make it. Music is a success lottery - great talent and hard work isn’t a guarantee.
@@SJ_Vibezz how can you sit there and talk BOSS this and ownership when your signed to a 360 in a slave contract 😢😔.. Go interview a real independent artist who’s not a corporate hoe
Out of all them krept idea is the most impressive and innovative. Rest of them kinda of repetitive and very hard competition. Plus krept idea is actually positive unlike selling disgusting vodka
I looked them up on companies house. Krept isn't doing very well. Their ice cream shop closed. Then the Nala thing is ok, but very very small, could bankrupt easily. I've seen him state it's worth 17milliom, but i value it at 2-4million. Personal evaluation of what he "thinks" its worth is ridiculous, whats it worth now? How much profit is it generating per year barely a million. And that gets put back in the business and then tax

This was beautifully shot and incredibly informative 👏🏾

It’s her posture, stance, and it’s embarrassing. Poor representation of black women.

We don’t. Jay-Z is a billionaire. No one in the UK had got anywhere close to his level of success, admiration and influence.
