This gives substance to the idea that "you can't win a primary WITHOUT Trump, but you can't win the general election WITH Trump."

Im in Des Moines Iowa born and raised. I can honestly say i have not ever once personally heard a good thing about Reynolds or her predecessor Terry Brandstad who was chosen to be ambassador to China by Trump leaving his Lieutenant Governor (Kim Reynolds) to be governor. In fact a very common nickname for Brandstad was "Governor Braindead".
I'm also DSM born and raised and I'm wondering where the hell David is getting "super popular" and Kim Reynolds in the same sentence. All I've heard is bad things about Kim Reynolds from Iowans
