14:10 Only in the US, Mac and iPhone never really sold that well outside of there, it is mostly just an illusion that Apple were so insanely popular all over the World, since it dominated the very media-visible US market. Over 90% of Apple's total marketshare is in the US al8be, while the rest of the World has always been PC, Nokia's symbian and then Android-based phones
I used to work in IT from the 1980s onward, doing just about every job, starting as a computer programmer. At one point, Apple felt more like a cult. At one job, we initially only used VAX computers (bigger than PCs, but smaller than mainframes) and IBM PCs. At one point we got a new CEO, and his executive assistant ABSOLUTELY insisted on using Macs, and so all the secretaries in the main office had to (against their will) switch to Macs as well. We NEVER had so many problems from users until we had to support Macs. Back then, Apple hardware was terrible. All our Macs came with tons of malware pre-installed. And we were forced to spend so much more time supporting only 5 Mac users than all of our 200+ PC users combined. BTW, I had an IPhone as my first smartphone on the recommendation of my brother. I had it for all of 2 days. I told the salesperson that the phone would extremely frequently pocket dial numbers, and I was attacked by the Apple cult leader who had sold it to me. Eventually, I was able to return it, after much rudeness, I bought an android, and I never looked back.
On the note of phones I've been exclusively Android since leaving BlackBerry, having dabbled in iPhones (work environment, supporting others' iPhones when they went wrong etc). There's a lot to like about iPhones and the ecosystem that supports them, but as a personal preference their workflows and odd UI/UX choices don't gel with my way of working so I've just never dailied one.
I love British humor and the show "8 Out Of 10 Cats Does Countdown" is a favorite of mine. Some of the comedians they have (including Richard Ayoade) are amazing. Sean Lock (RIP) is a legend but I especially love Joe Wilkinson. His ridiculous humor is right up my alley. Here are some compilations of his work on that show. ruclips.net/video/P5JPBsX8MF0/видео.htmlsi=uhWgWnsiVYx0Q15d ruclips.net/video/DDepE8QfGro/видео.htmlsi=XqWI-5awLOpDn1tB ruclips.net/video/9rihNZXM3Uk/видео.htmlsi=uD3UYbH2bwjW3zbe ruclips.net/video/g45NqxJ34-Y/видео.htmlsi=W9UZKHIZ4e9T5eLp ruclips.net/video/oots-9R2YK0/видео.htmlsi=jtNzOMBfXswJZExz
I'm the same, I never answer the door unless it's someone I'm expecting.
There are two MCU alums in this episode :)
Watching your reactions make me happy ☺️

I once saw a sign on a front door which said “If you didn’t phone ahead, you’re now trespassing!”
The guy who played Prime is Wong from the Doctor Strange films :)
And he is one of the main characters in the 3 body problem.
Wing Wong is his full name.
There's another MCU actor in this too :)
@@OneAndOnlyMe Roy..as Jane’s date..
@@johncspine2787 also Gemma Chan was Ivana in the Countdown episode, and is MinnErva in Captain Marvel and Sersi in Eternals!
The Final Countdown, is by far, my favourite IT Crowd episode.
Good morning, that's a nice tenetennba.
The masseuse was one of the Ironborn in Game of Thrones.
"They'll never respect you while he lives"
The PC versus Mac fight has been going on since the '80s. I have very strong opinions on both...
20:10 You're face! 🤣
I'm a proud member of the never had an apple product club.
Oh, lord, that story at the end. Just, oh lord.

We called them "The Macreligious people".
At one point???? That's a hell of long point! 🤣
Shadowcat, your masseuse sounds like a character from “Get Out.”
This show could’ve had a hundred thousand episodes..I loved it!
26:20 Keir Starmer 😲 😁
2:38 I swear the writer just listened to Karl Pilkington for that part.
The "Something Happened" episode is a classic and actually a powerful episode.
Shadowcat was totally not prepared for the extreme brutality of Street Countdown
Richard Ayowade is a regular on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
No he is not.
He has often been a guest and also sometimes a guest team captain on the show.
@@mikeyb2932 I "misspoke": I meant regular as in regular guest, not cast member.
very accurate! I remember season 4 as not paricularly funny
🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
I agree the last series was less focused on working in the IT department, it's the weakest IMO
It is in the dictionary, but only because of this. The definition is....... Look it up, you'll laugh.
Overnumerousness or Tnetennba?
@@mrpopsfulBoth actually, but I meant tnetennba. Look it up, it came into being because of this episode of this prog.
