@@UDiAudio hello. I am a young electronic music producer making EDM. These vintage synths intrigue me. Should I go ahead and buy vintage vault 4? I might purchase Arturia as well?

This is really hard question. The VV4 is massive and very good with tons of sounds. The big diffrence to arturia is that arturia is more accurate emmulation in terms of the modeling and evey detail while uvi is more sample based and does not give you exactly all the controls available in the original synths. If you don't know how to design the sounds and use the synths mostly with presets than that should not be an issue. Maybe you can do the subscription instead and get everyting (including falcon2 which is crazy) www.uvi.net/sonicpass?

What are your thoughts on this versus the arturia v collection ?
would like to hear it from you as someone who tried them both
Good question and definitely good idea for a video. So there are many differences between the two. First, UVI is sample based and Arturia is modeled. UVI sampled the real instruments so the sound is identical (should be) and Arturia is probably very accurate but I guess it's not 100% identical and maybe if you have experience with the real hardware you would notice. I wouldn't. UVI sampled some really odd and rare hardware and Arturia is going for the famous units. Arturia gives you all the controls and emulates every single feature of the original plus added features and effects. UVI mostly do not give you a full set of controls of the synth but does give you added options when you use the workstation, included effects and arps. With Falcon you can take any instrument and go wild beyond what the base instrument offer. It's really hard to compare since they are not competing exactly. If you are more about presets and sounds and less about owning the instrument UVI is a great choice. I hope this covers the basic in my view. Let's hear others.. I would love reading what people think.
