    Alireza plays the game of chess with creativity in mind and does not go by the book. That is why he does not care if the position is known or not. True, he makes mistakes but this is also why the true spirit of chess is displayed when he plays it.

      Obviously you have no understanding between mainlines and book moves, mainlines are a series of moves considered as the best by top players, and this can change overtime, mainlines can become sidelines and sidelines can become mainlines, but book moves are considered standard especially in opening theory, book moves are played only in the opening phase, mainlines are played in the middlegame, which is why after the last book move, the players are said to be "out of book" .

      @@jamesli2545 tilt is an excuse to deflect from the better player winning, always, Magnus got “tilted” because he realised he’s not the better man tonight, and though he was winning game 4 Alireza still showed resilience that was unexpected by Carlsen and made him blunder

    This is why Magnus said he wouldnt play the world championship unless its against Alireza. He holds him to high expectations. Glad to see Alireza finally showing some signs of life again. Last few times they played he didnt do too well ever since magnus basically said "Alireza is next up"

    People like to mention that firouzja was losing in game 4 but forget that he was winning in that game at first before spoiling it. Mistakes happen in a blitz game, and in that game, magnus made the last mistake.

    when ali first started playing rapid tournaments online during covid, he wasn't winning anything. fast forward 4 years and he's the only player who has a prayer of hanging with magz consistently

      @spghose2437 Magnus was due for a loss. He won 7 or 8 tournaments in a row. MVL did the same thing last year and we saw what happened in Toronto when it actually mattered 😆.

      In classical, Chessmaster 11 plays at a level of 2920 elo vs humans.

      @gingerbread4801 alcohol the night before a tournament is Magnus' cryptonite. MVL did this exact same thing to Magnus and then we saw Magnus stomp everyone including MVL in Toronto. He was due for an L either way, the man's been winning every single tournament he's played in.

      @michaelmassaro4375 Magnus was hung over or tired from playing teo tournaments so definitely not on his A game. Missed way too many tactics that he normally would see in his sleep, that or he was sandbagging and played it off like he wasn't. MVL beat Magnus this same way last year and we saw what happened in Toronto when it came to the big money.
