    As always great tutorial...always wondered why fabricators hardly use profile gauges when determining profiles and then i see you make a gauge .... excellent stuff

      Thanks bro, when I'm trying to duplicate something or do a left and a right side and make them exactly the same I will use profile gauges but I'll just make them out of cardboard. Works like a charm!

    Nice work, I have a bead roller but am new to it, so after all the work you put into the initial panel I would have been nervous running it thru the roller, afraid of it bending wrong, I just need more practice

      Yeah I still get that nervous feeling sometimes for that reason😅. Altho most everything in metal can be fixed

    I had never seen this technique with clay, and the contour model, on the other hand, the Vray Shelling technique is effective, so I am writing from France.

    Nice idea with the modeling clay! I imagine it works great as long as there isn't a bad high spot. Kind of an unusual choice on the roof but I'm interested to see how it looks when it's done. Really am a fan of that year Thunderbird!

    The only thing the video didn’t cover was making sure that you’re not compounding someone else’s errors.
    The door seemed to have a piece of wood for the glass. If this was in the same pattern as the OEM glass and fitted correctly then no problem. But if it was going to require custom glass just because the roof was butchered and not because an OEM glass would never work then the time to correct the errors would be before making the patch panel.

    • @BeAMetalFabricator
      @BeAMetalFabricator  3 месяца назад

      Well the reason it's going to need different shaped glass is because it didn't fit the contour of the different roof.
