I never understood why they portrayed him to be so weak. I know he's no warrior, but still, he's almost as old as the other elders.
I think he was meant to play the role of a “nerd” or a “scholar” someone who might be timid but not necessarily weak or maybe that’s what he was before being turned vampire

Tanis was a good historian
The fact that tannis seemed to have enough access to the outside world that he could get sunlight bullets to give to lycans, and knew where alexander would be docked he could have gone anywhere. Not like anyone was keeping tabs on him. I wonder if alexander was giving him sunbullets because alexander hoped the two races would kill each other eventually.
You have no idea how I would like to see an Underworld prequel film with the Vampire Elder Marcus Corvinus alongside characters like Andreas Tanis, Kraven (Even if replaced by a new actor), Semira, Cassius and above all Lucian under a new identity.
I didn’t know the Craven was poorly acted, I personally hated any screen time he held. Craven’s personality I didn’t care for, but Tanis I loved and died for. Craven was a coward but acted as if he wasn’t, he always put on a brave face but when push came shove say with Victor or Marcus he was first to squirm. Tanis wasn’t a warrior and he didn’t need to be, he was cunning and smart and kind of funny.
I’d like a video on what happened to the werewolves. Like what happened to all the werewolves that William had turned that couldn’t turn back into human form. We’re there any left during the current timeline? Was William the last of his kind? Would willams hybrid form have looked different then Michaels if Marcus had been able to turn him because Michael was half Lycan half vampire where William would be half werewolf half vampire. Just a few thoughts.
Asking the real questions. I’ve always wanted to see what half Markus half William would look like. I bet it’d be unstoppable

@@coganLollins Is it just me or are the Underworld films suddenly getting popular for no reason? Most of the underworld clips I see on youtube were uploaded like two weeks ago and some of them have like 250,000 views!

As much as im sure it would be a nail into a already dead horse I do want to see a sixth movie. Just have Michael turn out to be in Cryo like Selene in some off site facility runned by lycans. Have Selene and the gang rescue him then prove to the humans that Vampires and Lycans aren't evil and how the cleansing was all Palpatine level scheme to wipe out the vampires created by the Lycans so they could win the war.
William would have probably have a control state of mind but still a little rage in him.
i always presumed the werewolves in the tunnels under tanis's prison in the second film were ones that could never turn back.

He was an immortal but he was cowardly, he was a historian not a warrior.

He's cowardly when faced with people stronger than him like Sonya and Viktor but he should be pretty powerful considering how confident he was when faced with Pre-Hybrid Selene

A very interesting character in the movie. One with both age and knowledge. To know the truth of many things made him become a target in the end. Leading to his eventual demise at the hands of Markus. 💪🏻🙏🏻✨

didnt know kraven was supposed to be tanis in evolution and cuz actor acting was not well done , in first movie i thought he was tom wiseau for a second hahahahaah

I love Tanis one of my favorite characters.
Great video…I never understood why Markus said hatin on Selene….she didn’t do anything…her father built the tomb for William and she was a child…it’s like he took his frustrations out on her when to me if it wasn’t for her Kraven was may have killed him while he slept…
I just don't accept the whole Marcus became a hybrid after drinking singes blood that dripped in his tomb. It makes no sense whatsoever. Marcus is how old? Hundreds of years and in all that time through the seemingly endless war with the lycans he's probably fed on a few of them. He took to that winged form naturally as if it's always been a part of him. He's the first vampire and was made vampire after being bit by a bat, but didn't obtain the bat like features until feeding on a lycan? Seriously come on that's stupid. He had to have always been that way. Posted this on the wrong video before sorry
You do realize that if he's been asleep since Rise of The Lycans, he actually never met a Lycan?
@@inferiorinferno8859 one rules for 100 years while the other 2 sleep. First movie was between 2001-2003 and Markus was scheduled to awaken by Amelia so judging by that time frame he would have went to sleep between 1801-1803 so he encountered Lycans
Yep and personally I think a movie based around Markus's reign would have been interesting compared to what we got. There was much werewolf hysteria going in Europe from the year 1700 to 1800. Especially in Western Europe rather then East. They could have made a movie about Lycans traveling East to escape the vampiric death dealers and causing chaos eventually culminating in the foundating of the New World Coven. We could have seen the story from Markus's pov with flashbacks into the past about Victor, Amelia, Kraven, Tanis, Selene, William, and Alexander Corvinus sort of like he got in Underworld 2. He could have the same plot as in #2 as what we got, but more discrete and clandestine, except in this one he would get close but ultimately fail to find William. His father could still be introduced and we could see Selene when she was young death dealer and more naive. Sad they went in the direction they did.
I wish we have more of Tanis since this historian has more knowledge of the Vampire and Lycan history.
Tanis is the only "snake" caracter i like.

The vampires of this series can reproduce ? Or do they just sire? Is there a difference in the vampires made vs born if some are born ? Also on blade in the first movie what exactly is the pure bloods ?

It's funny how, in Rise of the Lycans, he helped Lucian, gave him a key for his collar, had Viktor questioning him about it. And then, centuries later, in Evolution, here comes Marcus asking for some keys again... 🤦🏽

Immortality in Underworld has a different definition, I'd call it less immortal and more long living than you can't die
I mean that’s for all Vampires and mythical immortals in fiction no? They’re not immune to death they simply can’t die as easily as mortals can from things like disease due to immunity and wounds/injuries due to their rapid healing but they can still be killed if overpowered.

Yellow* and he isn’t the only one. Amelia seems to have Yellow eyes too. I don’t know if it’s been explained but it is very odd

He was definitely portrayed being pretty weak for being one of the oldest vampires, likely turned by victor so closely related to Marcus. At least he was cunning lol
He might have been fast and strong due to his age but just lacked combat training.
That dude was almost my favorite character but he seemed too weak and controlled. I would have preferred him to be a bigger role in the franchise
I hated Craven but only because he was an asshole in the film. I thought he did it great.
