My mom and dad had a boy and girl. Happy. Then my dad said, "Let's have one more, to keep us young for when we're older." My mother was dead against it, she was happy with her boy and girl, but my dad was my dad. He would give her diapers for Christmas, mischievous things like that, and ELEVEN YEARS LATER, I was born. My dad passed early so his idea of having one more really helped my mom, as we were each other's best friends, and I got to care for her when she became ill towards the end. She was happy each day. So for anyone reading this and is trying, don't fret about timing, everything is for a reason! Wishing you the best Jessica!

It makes me so happy inside how thrilled you, Tyler, and all the other commenters are to expand your families and hear about the love you have for your children and the expanding love toward your spouse. Luckily the people that prepped me.and did epidural were very experienced and I had no problems. Congratulations!
C-section advise: I had a C-section just 10 months ago. Best advice I had was stay in bed for 5 days! I was running around our apartment, making dinner, etc and my feet were so swollen and it took twice as long to heal. So I stopped running around and healed faster.
Night sweats are a thing because with a C-section all the fluids are leaving you (I slept on a towel for a long time lol).
Ringing in ear from tylenol and ibuprofen combo for pain is also a thing (because of high dose of Tylenol); so I made it my goal to stop after 1 week of surgery.
Keep that incision dry and let it air out each day/every other day.
When I got my 1st period cramp it felt like nothing before because I thought I was having some sort of kidney infection or something (that's because where you would normally have your cramps is numb from incision so you feel it in side/side back instead)- I took pain meds and felt way better.
Tell Tyler to be careful on drive home and don't hit any bumps lol!
I could go on but this is already long 😂

Just 10 mg buffer free(Tylenol free) Percocet I took them for the first 3 days I was home which was 2 days after leaving the hospital At 8 days post c section I went to the damn fair. Big mistake lol even though I brought a folding camp chair with me and sat at every ride lol waiting for my youngest and my niece and sister and my mom and hubby to finish their rides lol. The day I got home I cleaned my kitchen. And regretted it haha the pain was the only thing that got me. I don’t recall any hot sweats but climbing into my shower ( claw foot tub) was impossible had to get a step stool and had to put my bed on the floor cause I couldn’t climb into bed lol After day 8 at the fair I took my last dose of Percs not because I was out but I wasn’t gonna take anymore and I didn’t just Tylenol when I was really hurting. The key is to take your meds BEFORE the pain starts again lol. Once it starts it’s a lot to alleviate lol I love hearing how other people experience c section recovery.

Yay! Congratulations mommy! As an experienced mom and labor delivery nurse. There is one piece of advise I give to anyone with a toddler...make sure the first time Gigi sees the baby, make sure you (or anyone she’s attached to,) isn’t holding the baby. Baby could be in crib or carrier. Toddlers don’t share well and she may feel territorial. The problem is that the first impressions tend to stick. After the first impression has happens then all’s well to pick up and cuddle, modeling good loving behaviors.
Good job taking care of your mental health♥️

Thank you for sharing about your pregnancies. My situation is similar. I got pregnant with my daughter the month that we started trying. It was a traumatic birth. My daughter is fine and I love her SO much! Fast forward a few years and my husband and I decided to start trying again. Nothing. It has been almost a year. I learned I have endometriosis so that’s probably the reason. I’m at peace right now. If we are only blessed with our daughter then she is our miracle baby. And if we are blessed with another baby we will have 2 miracle babies.

Yay! Congrats! I had an emergency C-section with my twins. There wasn't enough fluid around my girl (I had a boy and a girl). It was scary bc this was my first pregnancy and birth, but the actual C-section was the easiest part about the whole process. The babies were out so quickly. The pain wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I had another C-section with my other daughter and honestly I'm glad I didn't have to go thru the whole labor process. I'll take a C-section over labor any day of the week. I think you'll find the process easier than labor. Hope everything is going well and can't wait to meet this sweet little girl.

Yes on the postpartum depression! I never had with my first 3 but that 4th one I did. I didn’t recognize it because I had never had it. Finally my husband sat me down and really asked me how I was feeling and I broke down. Turns out I did and had been suffering for 7 months without even realizing it. Total game changer when I talked to my doctor. I got my life back.

Congratulations Jessica and Tyler! I had two C-sections, and the best advice I can give you is to 1. Get moving as soon as they say it is ok. I would hold onto the bars of the bed and turn from side to side, and that helped the muscle aches, 2. Follow the doctor's instructions about how much weight you can lift, and about climbing stairs. But I know you're going to do so well!❤️

I get what your saying exactly. I was only 16 when I got pregnant by accident with my boyfriend of 3 years. It was a scary experience, but I grew up SOOO fast because of it, and learned SOOO much about life. It was a crazy journey, but one that I would NEVER go back and change. Now, that little boy is going to be graduating high school early in December, and I couldn't be more proud....not only of him, but of myself as well. He was truly a gift from god that put my life on the right track, and has been the best "mistake" I've ever made.

Girl, get a belly bandit right now! Especially if you’re having a C-Section. That’s the biggest thing that I wish I would of had the day after having the baby or even a week after, but I didn’t learn about one until 6 weeks after. It will make your stomach feel so much better and more secure and you heal so much faster, not to mention you get down to your pre-pregnancy size quicker because of it. AND it’s not only OBGYN approved, but recommended especially for c-sections. Good luck and I will say a prayer for you and your beautiful family.

Your story is my story. The ECV was very painful. It felt just like labor, but also fingers jamming into my pelvis and under my ribcage. My husband almost fainted during the procedure. I also had the moment of peace afterwards, knowing that my baby girl wasn’t going to flip and there was a reason. Congratulations to you and your family! I hope everything goes seamlessly. 🥰

I had a c-section because my pelvis was too narrow for my son who was on the bigger end. He was head down the entire latter part of the pregnancy. As I was getting prepped for surgery, he became breeched. Thankfully, our plans didn’t change but man I’m sooooo glad I had the surgery scheduled. Wishing you the best!

I’ve had three c-sections all went great. It’s terrifying laying on the surgery table but you see your baby so quick! Then you have to wait a good 45 minutes before they bring you to the baby, that is the worst part! Take your meds and relax. Tyler will be great help for you. Congratulations can’t wait to see her! 😍

I had this exact experience with my first. We even thought she had turned to and hadn’t, ECV was the most painful thing I have been through and I’ve had a full day labour with no meds and 3 c sections and that was still the most painful.
Ended with a c section and her poor head was stuck in my ribs and her bottom in my pelvis, they even had trouble getting her out during the c section. So we are so grateful we got the c section.
Hope everything goes well for you 😊🥰
