Have you thought about swapping the desk in the bedroom with the dresser and mirror ? The space seems made for it then I would put another mirror opposite of mirror , one reflects the light coming from the door into the space and the other reflects more light back into the room . Just a thought it still looks nice
🌷Hanging Clothes Idea In my closet I put all the same color together. I know sounds crazy that was my first thought too. I love it, I love the look, I find I wear more of my clothes also instead of reaching for the same ones all the time. I just pick a color and cruise thru my options. All the same Hangers make your closet look even better too. One last thing, buy yourself flowers every week. They make you feel good and the little touch around your home is everything. I love ranunculus too. Haven't seen any at the supermarket yet. Well, one half dead wilted bunch, so hoping for new stocks later. That is masses of free space in the closet. Huzzah! My issue is storing coats because I have a serious coat problem. Also bedlinen. Loved the Central Park flowers. Beautiful.
I have my clothes divided seasonally ... spring&summer then fall&winter ... out of season ones packed away (rolling items is good) with mothballs! One can get very pleasant lavender moth balls ... for footware I have what looks to be a long cushy footstool that flips open to store sandals/shoes etc. In the corner of the closet I keep in their original boxes the 'did I pay that much for them! shoes ... my fav flower is a peony ...

Hey Gail, I am in New Orleans for first time and went to the Jazz and Heritage festival. This is an absolute must for anyone who is in love with music. Apartment looks great. New Orleans is almost a spiritual city for music lovers. Very special place. Great people too. Everyone calls you “baby”.

You will open up the space and it’s a piece you will be looking at on the couch . Possible place the black metal shelf between both windows ? Just some thoughts . Record credenza might be too wide for the space it will also match the weight of the wooden table on other side .
You should get the cute, woven bins from Target that are all the rage right now. They come in different sizes and two color options. Beige and gray. Could be an option for your closet!! Love your unique style, btw!!
Your closet was not really messy, I could show you messy 😅. I live in a old house & my closet is super small with a tiny door. You have a nice closet. You can also get sock, underwater, bra & sock organizers for your drawers. Also makes moving easier. Not that you are planning on moving. With the organizers your closet will be more efficient!!!!! Love it!!

Yes, you need a trip to the Container Store. You can buy many things for your drawers and closet including good hangers. All your hangers should be the same - probably the non-slip velvet hangers. I can't tell if your closet is organized - all shirts together, all dresses together etc. etc. Are you sure you don't want to hang up your pants rather than put in drawer? My comment is annoying, I know!
I clean out my closets twice a year and usually have 2 big bags for Goodwill. Did you notice your closet rod is bending precariously? Love the vases on your dresser.
I would actually put your dresser where your desk is if it would fit? You could get one of those floating shelves for a night stand on the side of your bed so it doesn't take up floor space...The other place for your dresser would be middle of your closet and hang clothes on either side...I mean it looks fine where it is but it's a bit bulky for right when you walk into your room.
Doesn't it feel good to re-organize like that. One thing... your bending closet rod kind of made me nervous. Might want to put a support of some sort in the middle. 😉
