In a word: no. The whole point of having main characters that don't speak is to be able to project yourself on to the character. It's a design choice that works BECAUSE people want to project themselves out of reality and into fantasy when they play video games.
I agree, to make Link talk would pretty much take away what Miyamoto wanted Zelda fans to do. When one does no speak in a game it gives the player the freedom to interpret this character how they want in terms of their voice. Giving Link a voice would take all that away and take away that connect from Link to the player.
Link doesn't talk so the player can form his own opinion about the things link sees, hears, do, and think. Hell he's even named "Link" because he is the link between the game and the player.

I'd like it if the new Zelda had a huge world to explore akin to Shadow of the Colossus and Darksiders, a weapon system similar to A Link Between Worlds but with more items with unique uses, and I think it would be cool to incorporate Ravio. Although I've always thought a sequel to Wind Waker where Link returns years later to find his sister grown and his old world torn after discovering a new land on the open seas would be cool.

Link speaking isn't necessary to me because the story in Zelda has never been extremely rich and detailed. Controlling a cypher in the world of Zelda is a great way to really immerse yourself. The biggest thing is that it really will be jarring to long-time fans. Decades later we've imprinted our own voice upon Link and that's how he should always sound. Also Avenged Sevenfold rocks!
