The production in Hwaa was tight from the music, to the video to the looks. All is very polished, Soyeon created the song, produced the song and 3 of the girls produced their album. They are just next level, they are invested in their craft and thats what makes them so special. They do deserve international recognition.
MAMAMOO is known for being artists over idols, and (G)I-DLE is exactly like that for 4th gen. That’s also the reason why the two groups are my absolute favorite groups in all of kpop. I also think both groups have the best female rappers of their respective generations, not only amazing with rapping but also in writing and composing. (G)I-DLE is such a young group but already putting out multiple works of art
Minnie is my bias, I just met them 2 weeks ago thanks to Hwaa and when Minnie sang I fell in love with her voice, her voice is different and she sounds international

There are a lot of groups, very talented guys and girls, but not everyone will manage to become as famous as BTS or BLACKPINK. Unfortunately, this is how K-pop world works. But not everyone needs this worldwide recognition. Someone may live by music and neither money nor popularity is important to him, maybe he likes what he does, maybe he just pleases the fact that he performs in front of the fans. So don't think that every talented group needs to be popular. Idols knew what they were doing when they signed a contract.

9.15 It is not reaaally targeted towards international markets - it is supposed to implement Japanese and oriental elements. The song represents the feeling of loneliness and coldness which is then blooming and blossoming like a flower with new life and energy finally replaced by the burning fire and temperament - this order is represented in the MV Ice -> Flower -> Fire. A metaphor for the current global health situation which is hopefully getting better soon. This might be the only hint of internationality, otherwise the song is using oriental sounds and also only uses korean lyrics for most of the time, only some half sentences are sung in english.

People should stop thinking that. Just because a band or singer is not as famous as bts does not mean that this group is underrated and bts are overrated. maybe not everyone likes gidle, clc, twice ... For example, I am a very casual listener, this means I like to listen to songs randomly (for both kpop and no kpop). I wish you guys could also do a listening party to their I BURN EP. it's a really well rounded and well thought out album. FYI HWAA was made after Queendom and LION but CUBE rejected it. And as Minnie said in a video I watched earlier, when she first heard this song, she immediately thought that it's something that only (G)I-DLE can do.
I really love this song and such a very clever and perfect way to ending the song so abruptly like that. Kinda the same way like what they did with "oh my god" and K/DA. *chef kiss 😍

9.15 It is not reaaally targeted towards international markets - it is supposed to implement Japanese and oriental elements. The song represents the feeling of loneliness and coldness which is then blooming and blossoming like a flower with new life and energy finally replaced by the burning fire and temperament - this order is represented in the MV Ice -> Flower -> Fire.
A metaphor for the current global health situation which is hopefully getting better soon. This might be the only hint of internationality, otherwise the song is using oriental sounds and also only uses korean lyrics for most of the time, only some half sentences are sung in english.
