Congrats on getting sober. Drugs and alcohol stripped my passion for music from my life and now 4 years clean I’m just getting back into it. Your videos have been a huge inspiration. Thanks man!
I can say that I've been sober my entire life because I never fell into that trap. For most, people who have overcome addiction get the applause but people who were smart enough to never go down that path get a big "so what?".
Wow. Youre... an Fn genius. If I ever win the lottery and end up selfishly funding my own animated series.. I'm hiring you to make the score. Like you get "it".. whatever "it" is...
this vid was really informative - thank you so much. what synth plugin do you use? i use fl studio and im new so im trying to just figure stuff out right now. again thank you for this!!
Hi there, I'm glad I found your channel. Sooo good. I'm struggeling with this frolic/organ sound. It sounds superb. You wouldn't want to share the settings in Massive would you? Cheers
Congrats on getting sober! I know this is a beach house song, but if you ever try to recreate an idles type beat, that’d be a great thing to talk about bc I’m pretty sure that Joe Talbot was an addict. All love!
Dude. You keep knocking it out of the park with these videos. The sound quality of your recordings is always outstanding. When you upload these videos are you mastering the audio or is this the sound directly from your daw? Also I think it would be cool to hear you do a song in the style of Real Estate.
Thank you, Brotha! Still learning as I go. I don’t really “master” the tracks per say. I just run some light compression, and a J37 tape machine plug-in for some warmth/saturation. I love me some Real Estate! I look forward to putting together a “Writing a song” like them really soon! Thanks for the recommendation.
Man I really enjoyed your videos, that I subscribed. Is that your studio at your home or are you renting a studio or place so that you can put your music gear and produce in there?
For those who doubted what the finished product was going to be (I will admit, I started off like... yeah no way this is going to be any good) Check out 23:34 You will then go back to the beginning and start paying more attention lol
@@bananalabs heh heh... btw, I just finished binge watching your channel. Lot's of gold in there. RUclips always plays in reverse order, so I got to watch you go from cool studio to bedroom producer.
Ableton comes with all sorts of drum samples and kits!- Depending which version you get. There’s “Lite, Standard & Suite”. I have the standard version. I know what you mean. There are so many to chooses from! Sometimes I spend most of my time going through drum samples😅
Man, you really have a strong grasp on what elements make a genre/band sound like them.
Thanks! There’s certain elements that stand out to me when listening to these artists that I enjoy very much.
Congrats on getting sober. Drugs and alcohol stripped my passion for music from my life and now 4 years clean I’m just getting back into it. Your videos have been a huge inspiration. Thanks man!
Thank you so much, Evan! I appreciate that. Congrats to you as well! Glad to hear you’re creating again, Brotha! Keep going💪🏻

Hell yeah! Thank you, Akim! 🙏🏻💪🏻
This was brilliant and exactly what I needed to hear!
Thanks for watching!
Your vocal track sounds like a more mature Anthony green who has been through some shiet, I like it. Digging the content man!
I’ve gotten that before haha. Thank you for watching!
thank you very much!
Wow. Youre... an Fn genius. If I ever win the lottery and end up selfishly funding my own animated series.. I'm hiring you to make the score. Like you get "it".. whatever "it" is...
Haha thank you so much! No genius here. I’m still very much learning as I go. 😅🙏🏻
Can't believe you actually tackled this. Thank you so much! Incredible video.
Glad you enjoyed it, Andrew! No problem. Thank YOU!
Amazing work. ODAAT
Thank you, Steve! I appreciate that🙏🏻
Nice video bro.
Did you pan the vocals left and right ?
That's some crazy quality right there!
Thank you!!
Killed it again. Impressive
Thank you, Riley!
Best music making tutorial on YT ♥️
Thank you so much!❤️
New sub here 😅 thanks for the insight on the processes I love it . Keep it coming
Thank you for the support!

I was using a preset synth sound called Frolic by Massive. Welcome to the music producing community! Thanks for watching!
Hey dude, great video. Can you also include shortcuts on screen, so beginners can follow along and learn it too. Cheers mate
Will do. Thanks for watching!
This sounds really good but you honestly need more reverb on that guitar. Theirs are very thick and lush
Amazing again!
Thank you!!!

Thank you for your support! I can’t remember what the settings were😭 But, just slightly tweak things until they are to your liking!
@@bananalabs thank you! I'll give it a try. Is this track released for streaming? Can I find it somewhere? Cheers
Unfortunately it is not. But soon in the near future I will be releasing some of these songs!
Such a lovely voice mate
Thank you, Dana!

Thank you so much! I’ll check them out!
The vocals sound as if Victoria Legrande had a child with Elliot Smith lmao
Surprise! I am that child 🥳

Wow. That's impressive because again the sound quality is so good it sounds like it has been mastered. Awesome. Looking forward to hearing that song.
Thank you!

Is that your studio at your home or are you renting a studio or place so that you can put your music gear and produce in there?
Thank you!!!🙏🏻💪🏻
I’m renting a space to produce music/make videos😅
For those who doubted what the finished product was going to be (I will admit, I started off like... yeah no way this is going to be any good) Check out 23:34
You will then go back to the beginning and start paying more attention lol
I just can't believe you were playing the guitar while driving...
Wait, what? Lol I wasn’t! I recorded that was in my head right when I walked into the studio! I should’ve mentioned that haha
@@bananalabs heh heh... btw, I just finished binge watching your channel. Lot's of gold in there. RUclips always plays in reverse order, so I got to watch you go from cool studio to bedroom producer.
Haha Awesome! I really appreciate you taking the time to watch my videos, Jason!
Amazing work
I‘d probably work a bit more on your drums or your drum selection in particular
Thank you so much! I appreciate your honesty 🙏🏻💪🏻
very inspiring, what drumkit were you using?
Thank you! I didn’t use a drum kit in particular. I usually pull individual samples to my liking.
@@bananalabs oh cool, where do you get them from, i often have difficulties to find the right drum sounds...
Ableton comes with all sorts of drum samples and kits!- Depending which version you get. There’s “Lite, Standard & Suite”. I have the standard version. I know what you mean. There are so many to chooses from! Sometimes I spend most of my time going through drum samples😅
dude what effects did you put for the voice and for drums as well?
For vocals I used compression, EQ, saturation and reverb. Drums as well with some minor tweaks!
You rule
I appreciate you, Stevie🙏🏻
can u try writing a lofi indie song like current joys, eyedress and black marble?
I would love to give that a shot! I’ll work on that and have it up soon!
