Interesting....🤔so basically she did the same thing she criticized u for? Looks like it is a "black thing" too... how ironic lol
Wow she was talking bad about you when she did Exactly the same thing only it looked awkward and fake
I love your come back very educated detailed and respectful! I couldn't have said it better ! Good for you:).
WOW! That’s amazing...look at that hypocrisy...
This is tht race war of light skin vs dark skin lots of dark skin try to shame light skin smh
Jeannie felt so bad, her whole mood was off the whole show
I woulda walked off...idgaf what tf you're saying. You're not about to disrespect my friend on national television that will eventually be made into a clip for people to continue to watch on the internet. Loni took it too far.
So?! Jeannie annoys people and says problematic BS herself.
That comment jeannie made at the end of the clip was hilarious.. and you could tell she was pissed off about this
I know she was probably contractually obligated to stay and do the rest of the show so I get it but she was really pissed. Everyone was kinda like 🌝🌝 help us!
@@damariscasanova5402 I get what you mean, I'm not good at hiding my anger like she is. She's good at being passive since she's in the public eye so much but she gave hints she wasn't happy. At least she defended her the best she could in the circumstance.
Jeannie is the only person at that table that isn’t afraid to stand up to Loni
I mean I have to give the other women credit for trying at least. Loni is just super abrasive and talks over them just like she did with Jeannie. Remember the issue is Loni at the end of the day. Not the other ladies
Maritsa Vasquez period
I'll always be Pro Jeannie Mai! She stands up for situations and the panel! Lonnie, was being a jealous bully!
Facts!!!!
They aren't afraid. They just don't want to get involved.
Her “white” aspects? Can’t they just be “her” aspects? Lord.
catherinecollins exactly. 👏👏
Exactly! She’s ignorant as fuck. Loud big and EXTRA!
I’m white and have never heard of wtf she is doing- no hate at all with what she does I think she’s awesome but I can assure cue cards aren’t a white thing at least that I’ve heard of
@@lexilux22 hmmmm so racial profiling is not okay but size profiling is. Two wrongs don't make a right.
catherinecollins there are white aspects like letting your dog kiss you in the mouth. There are a lot of things white people do that they think are normal that black people will NEVER do...like enter the house where y ok u think someone might be waiting to kill you #EveyScaryMovieEver (with a majority white cast).
Loni Love made a REALLY BAD JOKE that fell flat and she couldn't humble herself and admit it, she decided to play it out and it Blew up in her face
🎯
Lol y'all are blowing this so far out of proportion. This discussion has not ages well now that it's 2021 🍵 and tbh Loni is owed an apology back
She made a joke that wasn’t unique if the joke is bad the culture is bad attacking Loni speaks to your own biases about her not really her joke because you never attack the millions of people who say the stupid shit
I just think it’s funny because loni refers to Megan markel as her “black queen” but isn’t holding that same voice for you and that’s problematic.
Her mother is black.. Which makes her a black woman
When your mother is white .. You are white because you came from a white women...
When your mother is spanish you are spanish you came from a spanish woman
Dalyan James what does that have to do with what she said
Dalyan James WRONG!!!
Dalyan James 🤦🏾♀️
@@dalyanjames4925 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 what fuckery were you taught???
You can tell everyone was uncomfortable with Loni’s choice of words
Choice of words were ignorant unnecessary and wrong. I can't even...
Yes.
She looked dumb as hell. I don't understand why she was so bothered.
K.Scorpio she’s insecure that’s why
Makes it seem like being biracial is wrong
I can’t stand her... “ I’m black so I can say whatever about whoever” attitude
Exactly.
I actually really liked her till this comment .. wow
She doesnt say whatever she wants because she's Black, she says whatever she wants because she's Loni. If everyone on the show was like Jeannie Mai, it would get canceled. If everyone were like Loni, it would get canceled. She brings balance.
@Purple Crimson Well apparently the network doesn't think so and they enjoy her straightforward, tell it like it is comedic demeanor, so...🤷🏿♀️🤸🏿♀️
@Purple Crimson it's kinda messed up to say that because someone happens to act like a stereotype they need to get fired. That's saying that black women need to act a certain way (non-stereotypicly black) to be acceptable
Loni: "she's biracial"
Me: "so is Obama"
Exactly. Obama has more in common with white people than he does with black people, yet we uplift him as our black savior.
...and Obama isnt Black, he's biracial....
Nesha M98 No he’s not.
Nesha M98 You have to have 2 black parents to be black. I don’t understand how every other race can get that concept except black people. The one drop rule is a Jim Crow thing. Stop going bye it. And he’s biracial because he’s not fully black.
FollowerofChrist but in Obama's case he IS mixed with BLACK AND WHITE.
Loni tried to make a race joke and it wasn't funny, but instead of letting it go she kept going 🙄
chris h exactly but if it was all black loni would’ve been the FIRST to talk about it.
I actually liked the whole moment. The joke was funny but not everyone likes certain type of jokes. The Real had a real moment which it what makes the show good. People don't always get along and agree on everything. I like the way it went and was handled on The Real. These are everyday conversations & topics discuss amongst people of race. That's why it's called The Real
chris h she was mean jennie talks crap sometimes but lonnie was nasty wrong she needs to say sorry invite her on the show
Dee Byrd then she needs to learn how to apologize, just like she demands “white people” to do!
So
Loni was trying to make a “white people are lame” joke... and then she felt the energy shift after she told the joke she got defensive.
As many white women that are dating black men, I know ain't nobody tripping on Loni.
No she wasn't, Loni was telling the Truth! Now this woman wants to take this and play the Victim! The truth isn't Hating, she wasn't trying to make a White person joke ! You just took that way!
agreed
littlerush99 so what the hell was she trying to say then? That black people genuinely wouldn’t do something outside the box to help a client??
Exactly
Loni said she feels like she has a right to say those are “white aspects”. That’s not ok. People love to tell biracial people who and what their racial identities should fall under and it’s the most backwards logic ever, unless that person is blatantly disregarding their privilege due to appearance/status relating to a part of their race, having a conversation on which side of their race is to blame for an aspect makes no sense and is very ignorant. I’m glad Jeannie jumped in, Loni you were out of line!
Yeah I agree with you 💯Loni has no right to make that comment about her having white aspects. If this was the other way round and I said oh this is definitely her black side showing that would be classed as racist and really bad.
This!!!
Exactly, if someone felt that they had the right to point out my black aspects, I'd be offended and they'd be branded as racist.
It's like the mentality "Your not black enough". A lot of biracial people experience discrimination due to this. It's not right. Yes they may get more opportunities due to how they look as their skin is lighter but that doesn't make them any less of a person. They may still fully associate with their black side.
I don’t agree with what she said but Shannon is 1/4 black so how does that give her the right to call herself black? That one drop rule is what’s backwards, stems from slavery and promoted the idea that white = purity and everything else is black. And loni does have a right to say she’s not black especially when a lot of biracial are now playing black roles and essentially erasing us from tv screens in order to cater to white people. We get biracial people representing us as if we face the same struggles. It’s disgusting.
She was so insulting to Tamara as well. That clip was disappointing and hard to watch. We support you 🙌🏼
You could tell Tamera was shocked by it but didn't say anything.
Y’all look at Jeanie’s face. She was not happy. My face looked exactly like hers
Jeanie looks like she can't wait until " The Real" is off the air so she can rip into Lonnie! 🤭
Mine too! Lonnie, had always been a bully on that panel! She pretends like she likes them but she don't! When she gets caught up in her mess; she kisses azz! smh
Yeah. The same jennie who likes "dark meat" , but ONLY on the side. And the same jennie who was falling on the floor basically, laughing at Nauturi when she was being picked on.
Same
Cecilie Noble when has she ever Ben a bully? If anything everytime any kind of race conversation happens, she’s usually the devils advocate.
What I don’t get is how biracial immediately means black + white.
Thank you ! Like soo many different ethnicities yet they think only black and white mixes. Loni just ignorant
@Dina L That makes no sense. An ethnicity isn't a race so you can't technically even be biracial that way and there are more than two races.....
Dina L no it isn’t...biracial is defined as two races and interracial is defined as two or more races...no where does it say biracial is just black and white...it’s just a lot of people consist of being half black half white especially in America and so people have automatically started associating biracial with just those two races because it’s such a common mix...Hapa is a Hawaiian term used to describe people who are mixed race and is not just exclusive to but most commonly referred to as half white half Asian....
@Dina L Biracial in no way shape or form means Euro/African mix. You're talking about generalizing. "Bi" means 2 hence Biracial, a mix of 2 races. Hapa comes from Hawaii and it naturally means anyone of mixed ethnicity. Once again people started to generalize it for Asian mix.
@Dina L Sounds like you're talking about where you live. But the rest of the world understands the meaning. Just cause people picture that mixture doesn't magically change the meaning. It's just the most common mix.
tamara is annoying when it comes to not standing up for herself with loni.
Not everyone can clap back that quickly and that is okay. In this case they (Jeanie and Tamera) were good together. Hopefully Tamera will have a one on one conversation with Loni and explain why the comments were offensive. Thankfully Jeannie spoke up quickly.
Deborah McCray every episode though? it didn’t have to be a clap back just a simple “let it go” or next subject would have worked. i love jeannie though.
To me tamera stays quiet so her name does not go out the as something its not. Also tamera said on multiple videos that she had children that may watch her video in the future and i believe that she stayed quiet to show that some things just has to be ignored or just doesn’t deserve an answer. Especially if it is idiotic.
Ehh I’ve seen Tamera shut down that table multiple times for things she truly believes in... maybe this comment didn’t actually offend her, maybe she low key agreed.
Tamera won’t say anything because she’s very close to Loni. I feel like she’s the one who should’ve said something to loni right along with Jeannie. Loni act like she run the place.
If someone said to loni oh that’s just your black side talking she would have flipped!
Double standards! I love this girl!!!!

Bianca she's just jealous. Loni has been madder and madder with each season.
Tamara looked horrified.
Loni Love has progressively become more and more hateful by the day. She’s incredibly racist. It’s heartbreaking.

No. She always thought she was. It's hysterical.
@@JustBeYouTy The way she told Jeanie "let me check you, let me check you" 🧐She was in her feelings all the way. She could have just said "Oh, she isn't white? My mistake. Her race shouldn't actually be an issue. My bad."
Everyone in the comments saying “white people have said worse”, yeah but those people are wrong. So hold people accountable on both sides not just one side. Loni said it as if it was an insult. Anyone’s “white side” is not an insult. Loni did not need to bring race into something that had nothing to do with race. She is perpetuating stereotypes.

Loni and James must be arguing right now and she's on the chopping block
Tamara was like uhh??!!! Imma be quiet 🤐 when loni said she uses her white side like what...
I was so shocked by her reaction & what she said. I think they all were. Both Jeannie & Adrienne tried to make it about the topic & Loni tried to defend her stance that she clearly noticed was wrong. Poor Tamera looked uncomfortable. And it's just as someone else said, about lifting women up instead if tearing them down, that's what they advocate all the time, & this time, Loni majorly disappointed & kind of disrespected what the platform she is on, is all about. Shame on her for what she said.

Race is always brought up now in days , if you sneeze , cough , talk a “certain way” you will be put in a race section even if that race is not your race
I mean, racism and colorism is a thing, so it's understandable if it's brought up, but this wasn't a time it was necessary. She just brought it out for literally no reason.

Loni was trying to make a joke and it didn't land. The situation looked awkward for everyone. They must not have meetings before the show about their topics because obviously she didn't think that one through

proud of you for speaking out. you speak so eloquently and beautifully. thank you for sticking up for yourself in the most respectful way possible. you’re so inspiring, thank you.
Loni should have been like...
“I feeel like this confident girl is exploiting girls who aren’t confident by taking their money to offer them advise that will only be affective for a short time if you don’t truly work on yourself, alone. I’m a confident women who believes women should be honest with each other and uplift one another, to make a business out of that seems really opportunistic and I happen to associate those traits with white women, but I admit it was a bad joke and I’m sorry.”
Boom. And people would have been like “damn... I see you.” 👀
The thing is , associating particular traits with an entire race of people is just backward and a way of thinking that creates prejudice and stereotypes. As for exploiting , there are many things people can't do themselves and need help for and I think every service should have a price to create value for it. So charging for a service isn't exploitative in the least. People can be good , bad , confident , insecure and many other qualties similar or different and race is one of the least common denominators for them. So bottom line , what Loni said was plain ignorant and no matter how she would've phrased it , it still wouldn't come off any better.
What did I do?
I’m Mexican American, there are some things that people will associate with me because of that.
Is it racist? Sometimes. Most times, they’re right.
Have white people been aggressively exploitive and opportunistic at the most inappropriate times??
Some of them, sometimes. But no, your right, not all the time. And not EVERY white person. But she’s an American black women who’s well into her 40’s. She was born in ‘71, do you really think she cares what YOU think is appropriate. She’s been threw and seen some shit.
I’ve seen TONS of black male comedians talking about, “WHITE SHIT” and no one bats an eye.
Come on now.
@@sammmuela6759 I never once mentioned racism madam. My statement clearly implies that I am well aware of the terms I use . As I said, stereotypes may be true or false , but the assocuation of particular traits to a race sure does create them . People can be many things and it doesn't need to be a result of their race. My argument mainly focused on the use of the word "exploitation" and the unnecessary negative connotations attached to it. Every job deserves to have a price and rightly so. Helping someone do something they tgemeselves can't doesn't mean taking advantage of them.
What did I do? Okayy

People are making FEEBLE attempts at trying to demean her character, when she is trying to TRULY utilize what she’s achieved educationally to assist!!!! This is a sign of INSECURITY in it’s FINEST form!!! GROW UP AND FIND A WAY TO MAKE YOUR CONTRIBUTION TO OTHERS, INSTEAD OF TRYING TO UNJUSTLY DEMEAN THOSE OF US THAT ARE!!!!!!
Loni could’ve just said “if you need to have cue cards written for you during a date maybe you should reevaluate yourself before dating” she could’ve left it at that. The race thing was so irrelevant and not funny
also, it was her choice to let Shan guide her on the date. Loni has to understand that not every approach is similar and that this is not an absurd approach either. If you require help, seek it. If you're capable on your own, don't.

@@SetsoAmantle "Bold opinions" are needed. BLK people tired of being the Yes Sir/Mam stereotype when it comes to the Professional world. White people only like BLK people that keep their mouth shut and are not woke. They need ZaZa Ali on this show..
@Kuda Kwashe oof, you big mad arent you?😂
@@SetsoAmantle I guess so, that's probably why tamar left. I'm starting to see what she kept trying to let people know about.
I’m surprised Loni’s interracial relationship works out with her ignorance.
Dee Brown For now... I’d be curious of her boyfriend’s reaction. He seems so considerate of her feelings maybe he will use this as a teaching moment to her, if he’s not so offended he leaves her or goes off on her.
same way people who date interracial can still be racist...?
Lol if her and that man had kids, it would look more like Shannon than her.
she has money
Dee Brown everyone loves bashing black women it seems cuz I’ve seen Loni makes stereotypical jokes about dark skin black people and not one person bats an eye!! Fascinating! She made a joke that ALL comedians make!! That there are things that you just don’t see other groups of people do!! Everyone knows that biracial people who look white are treated as white and black biracial people are seen as black and live as black!! They go through everything that black people go through!! Funny how everyone laughs including Tamera when Loni makes stereotypical jokes about dark skin black people!!
I cringed when she said 'white side' arrgh, really?? Girl I am so sorry you had to go through that. I also just finished watching that clip of the womxn who called you 'cute' ...what!?? Shan, you are so awesomely gifted and worthy of all the followership you have and more because you work hard, you care and you bothered to figure out unique creative ways to curate ALL that you've sweated to learn and package it for our generation to understand. I appreciate you, I appreciate your brains and creativity, I appreciate how you pioneer yourself through such complicated subjects. Sending you love - you may probably be over it but I was meant to stumble across the example of you navigating this with such firmness, vulnerability, transparency and sure sense of self. Cheering you on. Love your book btw :-)
This is such a humbling video. Thank you Shan
But what does race have to do with helping people l feel like it was so unnecessary to bring race into this.
Khanya. Nolz i swear!!!!!
Yeah, I think Loni is colorstruck and needs to work through her own internalized anti-blackness.
It was ignorant
insert cardi b meme ‘what was the reason!?’
LONI, IS IGNORANT!!
I think Loni's comment pissed Jeanie off! She ignored her for the rest of the show. I wish the entire show was uploaded.😒😏😉
Me too! They knew not to upload that episode because it was horrifically awkward and disrespectful smh. I was so shocked that I had to find out about this thru other ways because they definitely didnt put up a clip or anything like usual lol
That would have been my exact response.
This was the best show they ever had.
Shan, you're so eloquenttt. Everything you said was so well delivered and mature. I'm reading your book now- and I don't think it's hard to start at all. I actually love how easy it is to read. Much love~
You present yourself SO well and this was very tastefully presented
Lani loves bringing down other Black women but gets mad when someone brings up her dating that white man.
So true.
Ami Kamara THANK. YOU.
👀 👀 oh she with a white dude??!!!
maybe she projecting her guilt or summ
Ironic, right?
😂😂😂 it’s really sick
I’m so over Loni...wtf has she been on lately? It’s not funny....at all.
Loni has been cancelled, her character is nasty as hell & unacceptable !
JEALOUSY
Amanda Hawkins Jeanie is the only one that stands up to her
This just came up on my timeline and it’s so beautiful seeing this as your past and your journey now with your husband and baby 🥰
I met Shan at playlist and she was the sweetest person ever so willing to offer her help and advice ❤️ love you girl
Loni looked like a clown throughout the whole segment
Celine ْ Fr
She really did 🤦🏽♀️
It isn't the "white part" of Shannon, it's THE THERAPIST side of her. Thanks for your educated, nurturing, and creative soul Shan 💖💋
👏🏼 You can say that again!
Also, remember she genuinely doesn’t have a “white side”. Neither of her parents are white!
It’s actually stupid how certain people equate being educated with being white. Especially when poc agree with these labels, it just keeps negative stereotypes alive.
Kindah I love this comment. Because it’s REAL!
@@amandafox6220 Her mother is half white if I'm not mistaken.
Amen! I’m late in the game, but this is beautiful, I continue to thank you for sharing light
Well thought out, presented and explained. Continue living your truth and never let others pull you down or stop your progress.
Loni is giving me Bully vibes. I don’t understand why she is being like this.
Unfulfilled mindset
Donya Baker her pride just wouldn’t let her be reasonable
She’s always been like this
But Lonis out here promoting interracial dating I don’t get it lol
@Rick and Morty lmfao chill b she didn't deserve that 😂
Notice how they didn’t put this clip up on The Real’s RUclips channel. They knew it was wrong
M Taveras they knew everyone was gonna be going after loni and her flawed, immature thinking.
Rightttttt they knew it was shady !
Well there’s usually a 24 hr delay. It’ll be up by Monday
@@Nallisn no. They uploaded literally every part of the show already, except that one. So every topic before and after that part, is already up.
We would come for her😖
I love your confidence and learn so much from you. i hope you never let anyone's ignorance break you or bring you down. your strong love you
I can’t lie I’ve been thinking about this moment and it still makes me mad! But I’m so happy you handled this in a mature way
If she was white and said" that's her black side coming out" it would be a whole uproar! She doesn't get a pass idc
TobyTV absolutely
TobyTV yeah, that’s called history. And history out-lives hypocrisy.
Exactly!! And saying you can't be racist against white people is total BS
It's not the same thing.
Sita S actually Black people can be bigoted and prejudice but not racist.
Loni stays projecting her issues and insecurities onto others it’s irritating
Yep I caught that. She seemed incredibly upset for no reason when she saw a pretty bi racial lady. Pure jealously.
Elizabeth ikr
Insecure about what?
eon001 right where’s her man
I don't think it had anything to do with being insecure. You don't know what her insecurities are. She just told a bad joke and didn't like that no one thought it was funny, then became super defensive about it.
I am very impressed by your commentary. You are brilliant, I’m so happy that I watched. Articulate and you know how to reach your audience. The best video I’ve ever watched.
I feel this on so many levels. I got called WHITE GIRL by my cousin all of my childhood just because of the way I carried myself and I'm Black not biracial but Black. It was very hurtful and I felt like I didn't fit in.....
Agreed 💯💯💯👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I’ve experienced the same too smh :((
@@Tan87ful me too, always been the Oreo black girl. Especially when I started dating and all my bf were white
Jeannie SHON in this. It’s not always easy to speak up when you’re being constantly told your opinion is wrong and being laughed at. She really stood up for you and deserves recognition.
Agreed
What is up with Loni this season? She's been so rude for no reason
Edit: woah this is the most likes I've ever gotten thanks
Just Loni being a d__kface.
#miserable
Destaweave .
You woulda thought since she found a man she would be as sweet as pie lol
yeah! she’s been a little hostile with adrienne this season too 🥴
I have never heard of you but I’m so glad I have stumbled across that clip of loni’s comment and then this video. You are a true remodel of how to respond to hate. Keep being great!
ALL FOR YOUR RESPONSE! LOVE THIS! KEEP UP THE POSITIVE VIBE BOO XX
I swear Loni was just on The Real the other day telling all the black women to get a white man and didn't nobody say anything. She's the oldest one on the panel but be acting the most childish.
AJ ✋🏼 stop!!!! she did not say that!!!!
She is the old Gaurd. Too old to learn a new perspective. in the past, her mentality may have served to protect her. now its reversing progress.
Aj black women can be with white man it isn't an issue only if it is for fetishism reasons than it not okay but from how you are speaking you are probably black or mixed because most black men hate the fact of their women dating white man but yet is it okay for black man date white women ???
@@jennypolten5066 b.s. black women hv bashed blk men for decades about Becky
She was actually telling black women to be open to “interracial” dating, which isn’t the same thing as “get a white man.” She was completely wrong for the bs she said in this video, tho.
Loni needs to learn when her jokes aren’t working and just let it go.
Kevin Ortega-Rojas And That’s all it was it was a Joke that did not land. I think if Jenne Would have listened to what Loni was saying not saying she was a bad person she was trying to land a joke she is a comedian and I truly think they making this more then what it is.
@@elizamarie5371 it was a joke initially. But as she got more defensive, she attempted to explain her words. And she wasn't saying "here's why the joke is funny" , but more "here's why I'm correct". Just takes away the joke of it and adds her serious thought process
@@elizamarie5371 Jeannie just said Shan is her friend and that she's mad cool. Jeannie not once said that Loni said she was a bad person. It's Loni again being defensive and not knowing how to let a bad joke go. After she found out Shan wasn't a white woman, she should've just said 'oop my bad', and sipped her tea... but her 'comedian' ass too stubborn.
She tried to get louder lol
That’s really what it is. She got mad that a “joke” didn’t land and got that reaction. She could have just been like “oh she not white, my bad”. But she was so mad that her joke didn’t land that she took so much time trying to explain a dumb ass point. People still didn’t laugh even after she explained herself. She thought bc she was in a room full of black women (the audience) that it was ok to make that joke. They showed her was.
I'm so glad you addressed this. I just watched the rerun of The Real Daytime and I was embarrassed by Loni's comments. My first thought was why does she assume you are white or biracial without knowing anything about you? It's so ignorant. And then she referred to you as a "what", she said "what is that?" It was such a rude & ignorant comment and a perfect example of the systematic chains in the minds of some black people. Furthermore, Loni is constantly tearing down other black women. She disrespected you as a black woman and your career. And she disrespected white women with her negative connotations and dismissals. I really disliked all of her commentary and I was offended as a light skin black woman who is NOT biracial (and it wouldn't matter if I was)!
You handled this well! Keep inspiring, My Queen!
The issue with Loni is she’s convinced she’s a grade A Comedian but she’s not that funny. Her delivery is always aggressive and just off. Even if she meant this as a joke, she just came across as rude and racist.
The show has brainwashed her into thinking she's funny because the audience laughed but that was their supposed to do make noise it's not genuine laughter
No honey SHE WAS NOT JOKING & IT WAS NOT FUNNY...FRFR
@eys292 yall still think what she said wasn't racist. Like WTF! Seriously. 2 wrongs don't make it right.
Taytay Queen you are absolutely right but it’s called Colorism. It is still a problem today but we need to stop this mindset. Because we need to be a better example for the next new generation.
@@vxixcxkxy6822 colorism Is also the incorrect term to use here. What Loni did was made a joke that wasn't funny and went to far.
"Y'all her friend." 😒 Loni is looking like a hater. She's minimizing your work and professional accomplishments. I'm disappointed in Loni. Being a comedian is one thing, but she was overly disrespectful.
She says that but I don’t feel the genuine funny personality that a comic has. Of course a comic can be serious when speaking of serious topics but Loni’s personality comes off as intimidating right when she says something that comes off negative.
I'm just curious if she's prejudiced towards lighter black women or biracial women. She just seems to always have a problem or attitude. Even when Tamera speaks she has a problem and like gives a side eye or something. Whatever the problem is she needs to deal with it. She's too old to be behaving in that matter. Some things are just best unsaid sometimes. If you have nothing nice to say don't say it at all.
I agree with both of these statements. I don't think I'll look at Loni the same way again. Doesn't matter how light she looks to you, and you can't taker her identity away from her. How easily she made a joke out of her instead of supporting and uplifting. Sad and hateful
Her ass not a comedian lol
I just found you and I love what you stand for. Thank you opening up all the conversations you do, I have already learned so much about myself from you.
Thank you for your vulnerability. People always going to have things to say both negative and positive. Keep on with what your doing cuz the truth is already within.
Shan I adore you for what you stand for, for being true to yourself, shinning your light, you're an amazing person keep doing you.
Tamara should have said something more than she did, you can tell she was put off by the comment
I thought that to but I honestly think she was so taken a back by what Loni said she had no words
tamara seems like the peace maker in the friend group. if i was her i would've been the same, not because i didn't care but because i know the ignorance of her thought goes beyond them having that one conversation on live t.v. some people are just hard-headed and loni (as she let us know here) is DEF this type of person and tamara has to know this so she probably decided to not push too hard.
Tamera needs to stand up for herself
It was a joke hush
@@JalahMayit was meant to be a harmless joke that went very wrong and instead of backing up and apologizing as soon as someone corrected her and said she isn't white, Loni dug herself in deeper and got hella defensive. I think the ladies of the real are meant to contrast shows like The View with how confrontational they are on there by being a lot more patient and careful not to get too heated and diffuse conversations as they begin. I believe this is why Tamera didn't say anything is because Loni was clearly getting very defensive and digging herself into a hole so she decided to defend her initial comment which was "white people are weird and she does this because she's white and therefore weird" so Tamera chose to oppose that statement rather than the obvious issue of assuming something about someone based on their race because you always run the risk of being incorrect and then very offensive. You could tell Jeannie was offended by Loni's statements about her being "not all the way black" but because of the intention of the show, she wasn't able to confront the ignorance. Loni has had many chances to apologize but has just acted in defensiveness unfortunately. it was inappropriate of her entirely.
she alluded in an earlier episode when discussing why black women are statistically less likely to date outside their race that in being in an interracial relationship currently, she's had a lot of backlash for dating a white man of people accusing her of betrayal to her blackness or calling her 'less black' for being open to dating someone white. I wonder if her comments on this episode were a reflection of her current identity dilemma of not knowing where she fits in now that being are rejecting her in her own race. so maybe she tried to criticize white people to fit it more with the black community? something to think about. she really should just quit making race jokes altogether no matter how light or harmless.
Loni wants to be the one checking her cohost when she needs to be checking herself. So much for building women up not tearing each other down. Tired of Loni
I've never heard of you but I've watched the Real for a long time, but I gotta say you are so intuitive and in touch, so wise, it's so refreshing to hear you speak and see the positive even in such hurtful moments. love who you are! the real messed up on this one, you deserve an apology
