Nah in the world of headphones $130 is not much at all ngl. High end stuff can get into the quadruple digits.
You should set them on a scale so we can see how much they differ in weight. It would also be cool to see if people could tell which one was the fake after listening to each pair.

I am trying to fix an iphone 8 at the moment (screen swap) but now it refuses to boot up with the earpeace and selfie camera plugged in. It doesn't help to switch the earpeace and also doesn't work with the original screen anymore.

a way to check if these airpods are fake or real is whether they connect to all your devices and if switching is seamless or not. I know someone who had that issue

I found a guy on marketplace selling these and I decided to spend the $200 he was asking (still in the wrapper too, I got to open them and test before buying!) after watching this video and they are pretty much the exact same. Even the weight is impressive. Full functionality and my friend across the country could hear me loud and clear on a phone call. I couldn’t justify $550+ for the “real” ones but as far as I’m concerned, these are the same thing. Even the packaging ing and pamphlets are the same. If you have the opportunity to find these 1.1s, absolutely save money and buy these. Battery life is solid too. I had music playing for 6 hours at work today and then another 45 minute phone call when I got home and I still have 72% battery.

I got scammed with these and to be fair. I decided to keep them. I paid $230 USD and it was my responsibility to keep them even though I could have gotten a refund. I learned from this experience and you were the one who made this tutorial which was how I determined they were fake. Thanks!

This just shows the insane mark up companies put onto their products for us to buy, something that's more than likely made on the same line as the apple ones but just gets put into a unbranded bin rather than the manufacturer one for retail sale.

They put a different name on it and sell it for more than the no name ones even though they're the same. Happens with everything really, even stuff like cookies.
If anything, this shows that with apple you really only pay for the name.
That exactly what I was thinking because this and real ones are functionality the same, the only thing that’s different is the higher quality material, but it’s not like Apple used gold, so there’s no reason the cost should go up like $400.

The airpod max is really premium for its price. Compared to other reputable brands which sells them for 1000$.
Even the price of the airpods 2 is really good for the features you get them for and you get the quality assurance from apple.
@@verynice4829 People just buy it for it's "premium". If you compare to other brand they too make airpods with the same features but with much cheaper price. But just because it's not apple or it's made by Chinese company people don't want to buy it.
@@BedroomHistorianOfficialYT not really, I own the airpods 1 and its really good for the price. Its premium for a reason and apple justifies its cost very fairly. In comparison, a sennheiser wireless would probably cost you around 1400$ and their budget wireless earphones will cost around 100$+ the price of airpods, the difference in sound quality is almost the identical for the price apple sells it. (see sennheiser momentum true wireless 3)
Linus doesn’t even deny the quality of the airpods 2.

All ranging from budget to a competitive gaming branded ear monitors. The sound stage apple makes is really, I mean really good for the price and I can never go back from the airpods 2.
Regarding "spatial audio" any headphones and IEM capable of Stereo output can do surround sound emulation which is what spatial is, my AKG K240 Studios (patented all that way back in 1970 and rereleased under the studio moniker in 2004) emulate Dolby Atmos perfectly.

I've seen them being made, TL;DR, it's pretty basic compared to Apple's very good engineering. It's why they feel very light. To replicate the pairing process they use special chips and flash them software that tricks apple devices into thinking they're retail. As for spatial audio, not too hard to replicate, ANC, same deal but way more dumbed down. They simply can't sell something with Apple's engineering for $100.

i use those as main headphones, the noise cancellation isn’t great, the spatial audio and transparency is, also sometimes idk why the apple sounds stop working and they do like generic ahh noises also all airpods fakes don’t have a low battery sound and they just shut off, these randomly turn down the volume all the way down ☠️ also the crown after a while kind of broke and it doesn’t register the spin that good
