El Cortez Original 47 rooms have been renovated and frankly are better than the Cabana Suites -Pavillion rooms are the worst and I would not recommend staying there. Tower Rooms and Original 47 are the best. Original 47 may be a bit noisy due to Fremont and bars across the street. but they are newly renovated.
I think downtown only has 10 hotels......and I can't believe you rated the Cal higher than El Cortez. El Cortez should be in the top 5. Have you stayed at any of these places? 😮

While ur thinking I ACTUALLY LIVE in Vegas and downtown has AT LEAST TWICE this amount. SMH, the internet😒
I was thinking only of the Fremont area.....I know the Arts District has the English hotel and there are some others in less touristy areas..
