I have loved A7X since the start. I truly miss The Rev and I say this with the upmost respect for A7X and the members of this band too When Jimmy passed, the level of Avenged Sevenfold went downhill and not with the music, but in their performances. I saw them live at this show LBC my first ever time seeing them and then several times during Nightmare and The Stage. They had their life sucked out of them, their playing got sloppy and they didn’t have the same energy on stage they looked bored and tired and just going through the motions. If that tells you anything about how much The Rev was their heartbeat, it’s true. Now that does not mean they didn’t produce great music, but if you watch this entire DVD and then watch performances live after Nightmare, you will see a slump and I really hope that when they bring out new music, they can get back to this energy, still love these guys and support them

You definitely have to react to Afterlife, it’s my personal favorite by A7X and I imagine you guys would love it too. Don’t react to the music video version though because it takes out all the parts that make it such a unique song. A lyric video would be best mainly because the songs lyrics tell such a cool story.

This song, by the band, was described as a pleasure through killing type of deal in terms of lyrically. Easily one of the hardest guitar solos on the record right next to afterlife. There is no picking tricks or anything like that it's all trillpicked which is basically where you judt pick it as fast as you can and theres 1 oddball note up 1 string that makes it hard to play for me personally. Anyhow, great video👍

I ALMOST went to this show, my best friend had gotten us tickets and then it just soo happened that my dad had booked a trip for us to visit a couple of colleges in hawaii for me to transfer to. And I couldnt reschedule them so I couldnt go to the show. And then in that same year....the Rev dies. I will probably regret not going to that show for the rest of my life honestly.
If I remember correctly, I heard an interview on Octane years back that they brought in members of 3-6 Mafia to help with the bass line on this song. Maybe I am just pulling this out of my ass but If you get a chance listen to this with a good system.

Wendy Dio wife of Ronnie James Dio reached out to Liliac to cover The Last In Line for RDJ's Cancer Awareness Benefit and they had 2 weeks to not only learn it but play it live and it was....Amazing. the video is Awesome. That is the way music should sound live! They sounded just like the album. Love that! Not a lot of groups can sound like what they record. Metallica for example I've seen them probably 20 times in the distant past and loved the show but the music and especially the lyrics were off key. Shadow crushed these vocals and the music was dead on point! 🤘🔥
I definitely wouldn't compare them to FFDP lol. A lot more substance in A7X's music, especially lyrically, imo. Their first two albums before their mainstream success were heavier than anything FFDP has ever dreamed of doing btw lol. Just sayin.
