They had a real good marketing team. This was so natural, authentic, relevant, and wasn't try hard. This is just so wholesome, and the way the skaters sync with each other is just amazing.
They probably forgot but somehow remembered this out of nowhere and thought "gosh, was it all a fever dream? I swear I think I did that kind of performance on that game showcase thing back then..."
You know what the key is to making something like this work? Getting people who look like they're actually enjoying it. And these guys definitely fit the bill.
@@keishacurry2208 cuz Sonic is (hedge) hogging all the glory. And they were going to make a new JSR game, but yeah, Sega rejected it. Note to Sega:GET OFF YO HIGH HORSE AND BRING OTHER CLASSICS BK BUT DONT SKREW IT UP! -beat
Didn’t even realize that Re-Introduction by The Wiseguys was played! Makes me wonder if Sega was gonna include it in the game along with Start the Commotion since I heard the beginning of it as well. 🤔
Alright, that was cool but a lot of them looked so awkward on skates. I think a few had to learn just for this + the fact that the stage did not have a lot of room led to repetitive tricks. Overall this goes hard I'm sure it can't be easy to put this kind of production on for a video game, even on first release, but it is just a shock to my system to see professional performers skate worse freestyle than me. Although in the year 2000, inline skating was only ten years old and aggressive skates that they use here were even younger.
How is this cringy? The new stage shit in recent e3 is cringeworthy. This is just rollerbladers cosplaying as the characters and they are actually doing tricks.
No one is gonna talk about the guy who said "Who are you, sexy thang"
Dirt bags in gaming -- I feel like this is still when E3 was booth babes, boners and belligerence.
That quote would slide in this generation 😅
ikr when i heard that im like whoa calm down jamal
@@cherok5004 Ah yes, when E3 was actually good.

How do you even FIND people who can dance in rollerblades?! That's amazing, haha!
And this was in 2000
I imagine you'd get figure skaters, warm them up and give them wheels
I wonder where these performers are at today.
Back in the early 2000s bladers were EVERYWHERE. There was some amazing talent and then it all kinda went underground.
KEEP HOPE ALIVE!! :)
Thx! I will! Well I'll try to lol if I don't get caught by the rokkaku idiots first.
Funky Uncle!

He's probably a dad now with kids in college.
@@Mario_N64 it wouldnt be hard to get a gf with moves like that
I wonder where he’s at today, same with the rest of the performers. I wonder if they’re all still friends too.

Early 2000 Sega was the best.
I mean Gum dancing is hypnotizing, don't ever take this video down...ever.

Why can't E3 be like this again
Now E3 don't even exist
JET SET RADIO IS BACK!!!!
i swear "Dragula" by Rob Zombie has to be the most licensed music piece of all time. Games and movies couldn't get enough of that song :D

This is the most impressive shit ever. Wow. This is my gaming moment of the year 2023.
I like how in the beginning when Beat shows up some guy yelled “You Suck!”
I maintain that stage play versions of videogames are the best concept ever thought up

Still better than most of games nowadays who is trying hard to be realistic in terms of gameplay, graphics. And that is more cringey than this
