Love Roy! I'm still devastated about him leaving kamelot! Kamelot opened an entire realm of music for me I had never known existed! Still love the sound of kamelot with tommy but it's just not the same!
Thank you very much for that video!!! :))))))) I am so happy and grateful we have the chance to hear about Roy's music idols and to learn from his talent and experience. God has given us Roy Khan as a gift.
I'd like to thank you Mr Khan for the great music all these years. I was a big fan of kamelot until poetry for the poisoned. You had an extraordinary gift and I was glad to be part of it.
Can definitely hear Tate and Morten, I was myself equally influenced by these artists and that's probably why I watched a few hundred times the videos from A Cold Winter's Night wondering who was this singer and how come I had never heard of him. You have since become a huge influence on my work as a singer and songwriter. To me the combination of your technical approach and natural talent is unmatched in this genre. All the best from Brazil and hats of to the latest Conception album, extraordinary work!
Merci Roy pour ce partage😉 c est toujours un moment magique lorsqu'on en apprend un peu plus sur ceux qu on aime. Découvert en 2017 depuis tu "fais partie de ma vie"🌹😘
Geoff Tate still a golden reference in metal singing. the A-ha singer got really nice high notes. Rage for order is really awesome and experimental until now. The only new band closer to old Queensryche must be Circus Maximus: our Ryche for millenials. Michael Eriksen has a very good voice too. But the early récords of Queensryche are a good reference to start training vocal skills. I remember i started with eyes of a stranger that discovered in a Argentinian online rock radio (i am from Chile, native spanish speaker) in December 2008 and i wondered if is possible to train the voice until sound like this, and well, i was during months hearing exclusively the Operation Mindcrime record while studied in university and months after knew Kamelot, awesome. Geoff Tate went unreal in that récords. I can say Queensryche changed my personal "discography" or music references, altough i was hearing Dream Theater by two years. Luckily i increased my vocal range across the years. Thanks Mr Khan. Regards from Chile.
I knew it! You can hear so much of queensryche's influence in kamelot's music. It feels like operation mindcrime part 1 & 2 and epica and the black halo are in the same family musically.

Roy é uma lenda! Esbanja carisma, talento sem igual, performance de palco impecável. E o melhor, uma pessoa humilde, carinhoso com seus fãs!
The Geoff Tate influence hit me big time the first time I heard Roy sing. Two absolute singing Gods.
There was a ryche tribute band in new england with a singer that pulled of geoff tate repeatedly the band was called screaming in digital.

Wow. Geoff Tate is in my top 5 favorite singers alongside Roy, Tom Englund and Matt Barlow.
I Love Roy Khan, love him, love him, love him, and then I love him some more!
I had the same musical influence in my childhood, thank you for sharing Roy.
