One of my favorite things about cartoon saloon movies is the way they will warp the perspective of certain shots. It just makes everything feel so much more whimsical any fairy-tale esque
Everyone in the process did such a good job. Like, so many people drawing in the same art style is just crazy. Everyone is so talented and it's just insane. I'm so glad this is a movie that I'm capable to watch!
3:25 I never thought of putting a bag on my hand to reduce smudging before! I’m going to start using that trick now Also AMAZING work! I love how much passion was put into this film
@ashwolf12 that is the sad truth but I have seen some shows and movies that were apart of streaming service's exclusive to get a physical release such as Netflix's Stranger Things. On some rare occasions, they can get aired on TV such as Bojack Horseman. It's a slim chance, I imagine Wolfwalkers is probably one of the highest viewed movies on Apple TV + due to its critical acclaim and high fanbase. Hell. I'm pretty certain it did get alot of subscribers because of the movie. Say all you want about Apple TV +, but there's no denying that they found gold with this one. With that alone, maybe Apple would allow GKIDS and Cartoon Saloon distribute the film for a Blue Ray and DVD release, of course with their brand name still in contact. But it will benefit not only Cartoon Saloon themselves but also Apple as a whole company.
@ashwolf12 well I found out that Apple + is available on the Playstation Network store for the PS4 and PS5. Though I'm not so sure that you own any of these consoles.
Absolutely stunning and beautiful! I love watching artists at work, all those lovely pencil sketches, then adding water colors and drawing on the computer is so cool! My favorite movie ever!
I saw the movie last night, and the progress lines were still slightly visible in close-ups, which I really liked. I love all the characters, the animation is the smoothest thing i've seen in a long time, all of it is amazing! It invests you in that world, it's beautiful. This movie is my new favorite. Anyone who hasn't seen it should go right now to watch it.
i saw this for the first time yesterday and i feel like something inside of me has shifted. Im in love with this movie. THANKS SO MUCH FOR MAKING IT WITH SUCH LOVE AND HARD WORK
I just watched the movie and it’s so awesome it’s like u became a wolvwalker too I also cried and had this amazing feeling that made me so happy. You have to watch it if you’re an animal lover
one thing I loved in this movie, aside from the mesmerising 2D animation, is the 'broken' perceptive feels like watching a medieval tapestry come to life I don't remember seeing nothing like that before
The animation is good the storyline is fantastic the moral is really good the voice acting is amazing. Moral: Amazing job to everyone that work on this!
As a wolf supporter, lover and admirer, I fully appreciate others for stepping up and making a film on the wolves plight and their stance in the world. Plus, have a curiosity with paganism and the old ways. Oh and, shout out to whomever contacted Aurora to do voice the theme song.
I got FlipaClip a while back just to try out animation for myself, and now my respect for this kind of 2D animation has skyrocketed. It is unbelievably difficult and tedious to just draw a few seconds of frames. I don’t care how many people they employed to work on this project, the amount of dedication, time and research is amazing. And it paid off so well! Pure eye candy! 😍
I wish it wasn't just on Apple. Love to get dvd of it or buy it digitally to put money to business. Now that's old days I want to see is amazing talented artists and story tellers.
Little anybody who disliked this video can shove that dislike right up their arse cuz this film was a bloody masterpiece and I’ve never seen anything so beautiful. Dead ass cried because it was happy, sad and honestly just beautiful. I CRIED BECAUSE IT WAS BEAUTIFUL? I’ve never cried so much over an animated film I literally had to pause a few times because of my tears. Best film I’ve seen so far, I have a huge obsession and haven’t stopped thinking about it since the trailer came out. I kept nagging my parents to take me to the cinemas to watch this but we couldn’t because Wales was the only place showing it as my local cinemas was going to show it but it shut down and Wales wouldn’t let us in due to the virus. I’m glad I didn’t see it in the cinemas though because I wouldn’t have been able to hold my sobs back like I usually do. Like hello? Cartoon saloon, where did y’all get those skills..like I’ve never seen Disney produce something as beautiful as this. We need more hand drawn films like these.
Plus the same man who worked on Beauty and the Beast, The Prince of Egypt, The Lion King, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, Klaus, Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas, Curious George 2006, The Road to El Dorado, Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, Steven Universe and Regular Show himself, James Baxter.
I want to see this film so badly...... please tell me it will come to youtube movies. The art from this studio has inspired some of my artwork. Song Of The Sea & The Secret Of Kells are my top films to watch. I can see the Celtic references in this and it has touched my heart and soul. Please pass this onto the team who made this...... thank you for making this!!!!
I hope this movie is coming out on DVD I was only able to watch it cuz of youtube. they should be streaming it on more than Apple TV, I mean hulu at least this movie is great and now the videos are getting deleted 😭
Usually during a films development, there's going to be deleted scenes mainly because they didn't see it fit into their story. Many of these scenes get replaced with what we see in the final product. Often times, it could be due to time constraints which cause the development team to unfortunately cut out the scenes, even if they like the scenes themselves, they just can't include it in the final film. While it would have been neat to see some of this deleted scenes in the final film, I'm happy with how it turned out. Wolfwalkers would have been a fantastic film, regardless if it was told originally or how it is now.
Just the way I miss it. Making cartoons the old fashion way. By drawing them like the old disney pictures.
Nothing like 2D, it’s special and the colors flow

Finally some nice animated movie about mystical beings who are not evil and with amazing ending.
Everyone: Oh look, a well done hand-animated movie;
Me: Oh look, a movie where Sean Bean's character isn't killed off
It’s truly astonishing
I was watching the movie expecting him to die 😆 like "ok, and now he dies.. no? Ok now is the time" 🤣
Epic ahahahaha
There is a reason people are saying this movie is groundbreaking...
Ugh...I want a physical release so badly of this. Love to see more Special Features.
I want a physical release so I can keep watching it after my Apple TV free trial expires.
@@genesisishere5 same here. Also prefer physical copy b/c its pretty much the only film im interested in.
@@bluewolvesstudios2822 Same. If I love a movie then I'll pick it up physically because I want to see everything.
There is a graphic novel that contains the scenes used in the movie if that sounds something that you might be interested in, its on amazon.
@@lieththepsychopath4631 i got the graphic novel along with the artbook recently. It is quite interesting
by the looks of it, they did a blend between traditional and digital animation for this film, which i absolutely love
This behind the scenes is practically as amazing as the movie
I think this is one of the best things that brighten up 2020

The music, the animation style, the voice actors, it's all perfect.

Wolfwalkers is such an amazing movie. I really hope it one day's gets a DVD or Blueray release. 🐺🍀

4:30 are they animating over top of 3D like Disney deep canvas technology. I didn't think i would see that again.
Are all of the animations were done before pandemic? If so then good timing..........if not well then glad they still put the quality on it.
Post production finished during lockdown
@@BodoIllgner Glad they still able to finish it. The quality still looks amazing.
How animation should be. Not cookie-cutter.
I littery sont understand how they can hold a book while drawing and how they can do scenes with paper stop motion stlye
Looks like there's a lot of scenes that didn't make it into the movie

2:37 - 2:38 That part wasn't in the movie. Where that guy is under water dodging spears.
That scene was part of the pilot trailer
