You took a very true shot into the topic with this video bro! I think you navigated it extremely well, and the way you wrapped it up was perfect. Also thanks for using me in the broll 😛
Ayy I’m happy to hear that the video was received positively. Wanted to make sure this one was as honest as possible, but at the same time, spoke to the betterment of the craft! And got to bro, gotta give credit to those who put in work 💯✔️🔥
Stunningly well put together. I understand what you are saying. I spend hours on camping or photo locations, then editing my material in the studio, only to find it harder and harder to get views; I think this is largely due to the platform becoming massively over-saturated. For me, now, my ambitions are really to simply put together something that I enjoy, that tells a bit of a story of how I went about it. If other people find that entertaining enough to watch it, that is a (surprising) bonus. For those who see it as a career path, I think that it is as much about being well-organised and driven in promoting and exploring multiple income streams, as it is about somehow managing to temporarily find yourself miraculously in tune with the current algorithm.
Appreciate all the kind words my friend! I personally do not believe that over-saturation is an issue, which is why I didn’t directly mention it in this video. As I believe instead that those who can create truly compelling and honest stories will pull the crowd, as history and creators like Niklas Christl have proven. I deeply respect your ambition to simply create things that you enjoy, that’s something I hope to do more of. And I agree with the rest of your points forsure! 💯✔️🔥
This is a powerful message that I hope more people are able to discover. As our society shifts it's important that creative and genuine messages to still be told.
I’m happy to hear that what I’m trying to convey is translating positively for you! I couldn’t agree more with you and I’m more than excited to see that happen more and more 💯✔️🔥
This is the exact reason i gave up on making vlogs after my computer broke a couple years ago back in highschool. Back then i had an idea of making the first blog style video that is my own story mixed with my own manga idea as well as mixed with my own life but i realize even some crazy idea like that now will be looked at as bland no matter the effort i put into it that I’ve studied and worked for all these years just to get a new laptop to do so.
I believe you should try it for 100 videos and see how well you can develop your idea and storytelling abilities. And if you truly do commit to it and improve intelligently/intentionally, I think it’s likely you’d be positively surprised by the results 💯✔️🔥
Bro I looked at your channel. You already have the endurance. I truly think if you became more intentional, and built up your camera/editing skills, you’d have a strong shot at finding success on the platform. Hope you do bro 💯✔️🔥
Feel the same way bro , filmmaking and travel content specifically have been on the declined this past few years. Theres to much content and not enough consumers for it to be a viable niche. But at least its still fun to edit
Unfortunately it has, but I do think that type of content, when done in a compelling way, tends to build insane amounts of traction. It just typically takes a longer time for a person to develop a strong sense for it because of the nature of filming/editing that type of content!
Have things really changed that much, or have you just progressed beyond this stage in your filmmaking journey? I agree that the wow factor has significantly decreased with the over saturation of cinematic content, but story will always be king and those who are good always rise to the top.
Love you bringing that point up! I thought about it, if I’ve just progressed a bit further, but came to the conclusion even if I have progressed, it doesn’t explain why the focus in niches, even outside of filmmaking, are all on respective creators that have built stories within their content that carry throughout. And those particular creators seem to have built some level of cult following that keeps their RUclips stats way above the average! And I believe that’s also evidence of those that have honed their ability to storytelling, especially with todays circumstances, as you said “will rise to the top”. 💯✔️🔥
Anuj I understand, but I think the problem is filmmaking as a niche is oversaturated which is why it's hard to start. and why someone like Peter Lindgren doesn't have the 1 million + subs he deserves, because competition is steep. 💚✌️
Appreciate you sharing your thoughts bro! And I thought about over-saturation as one of the points in this video, and decided not to directly state it because I can’t seem to justify over-saturation for a lack of growth on a channel. Peter Lindgren, a creator I respect for more than just his work, but also his work ethic and fortitude as a person, deserves way more than 1M subs no doubt. I’d send those subs over to him if I could. But I’ve observed that the truly consistent subs, views per video, retention, etc, in any niche, not just filmmaking, come from the ability to create a compelling story. As I mentioned, Niklas Christl being a great example of this. I think any creator would rise greatly no matter where they’re at currently if they develop that skill! 💯✔️🔥
@@ConceptNewEra I think it just makes it harder to grow, taking more effort and time for the same numbers. Niklas Christl is a cool guy, but he did get pretty lucky hitting huge virality on his dopamine detox video, which isn't in the film makers niche really. problem is if you make a video about the new FPV drone or whatever, there will be thousands of videos coming out at the same time. I think realistically if PL was in a less saturated niche, he would have that kind of following since he's such a quality creator. anyways I wish you all the success in the world Anuj ✌💚
If you enjoyed this video, you’ll probably find yourself enjoying the thoughts in this video as well! 💯✔️🔥
