You couldn't take the same shot with the Sony. This says everything. If you need a tiny waterproof camera, the Gopro is the best between the two. If you need the best image quality possible, than the Sony has an edge. The ideal camera would have been a Gopro with the fullframe sensor of the Sony and interchangeble lenses. Maybe it will be possible in the future, but it would cost too much to actually sell it.

Sony wins but next time compare with the latest GoPro Hero 12

Sony wins for the better quality but the GoPro doesn’t cost $6000 and still shoots amazing footage. The GoPro also is more compact and easier to use. So I have to say the overall winner is the GoPro.
