I lived in NYC for 29 years! now I am in Las Vegas, as a tour guide in NY and Now in Vegas I have to tell you Tom ! You are one of the best Tour guides in NYC! Thanks I still learning day by day!!! I love history.
Aww man, you mentioned so many movie scenes shot in the legendary Central Park but omitted the underrated classic "The Warriors" only the greatest gang movie ever recorded!
This is fabulous. I loved every minute. Your depth of knowledge is quite impressive and so well presented. Thank you! Those who want to correct or challenge what you present should make their own video. Your burst of passion about what makes New York was spot on.
Absolutely couldn't agree more. Love watching your videos, and the wealth of knowledge is remarkable in an awesome way. Thanks Tom for sharing NYC with us.
I discovered you by watching Actionkid and totally have become your #1 fan and follower. You totally amaze me with your knowledge and abilities to retain so much knowledge of the greatest city ever built. Thank you🍷🏄♂️🏄♂️🏄♂️🏄♂️🏄♂️
My Irish grandparents settled in NYC and I was born there! My family did move out of the City when I was a young teen! But my heart is still there with great memories! Thank you for your tours and your knowledge about this great City! Don’t forget about the Papaya King on 86 and 3ave! Great hot dogs!
0:29 In the opening credits of "The Odd Couple", Tony Randall and Jack Klugman are sitting on that bench on the right as Jack Klugman as Oscar tosses a sandwich wrapper on the ground and Tony Randall as Felix admonishes him for it
Are you one of those who lives in the “Luxury buildings” that evicted thousands of then middle class working families who just didn’t make enough so they preferred people like you who made them wealthy enough to keep a mistress and a 30 foot yacht. Was it the tv show Friends that made you move here too?
Tom, you are definetely the COOLEST New York City tour guide on RUclips! You make learning all this history about the city fun, exciting and intriguing! And if you ever decide to come out to COACHELLA MUSIC FESTIVAL, tickets are on me! Greetings from Southern California!!
Wow! Your ending on what makes New York was truly profound. If you think your rambling then keep on rambling Tom. Your off the cuff informative knowledge has me on the edge of my seat . Thank you and keep up the great mix of historical information along with some humor. Bravo Tom!👏🏽
Was only in New York once when I was 5 years old, back in 1965, but I remember seeing the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty. Pretty cool for a 5 year old! Enjoy watching your entertaining videos. Feel like I'm there...without the hassles.
I can only give one thumbs up, but here I go...👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍❤👍 I LOVE these tours, can't wait to actually go there. Covid19 GO AWAY!!!! So I can come and visit this wonderful city.😃😃😃😃😃😃.
Should I admit that the Counting Crows are a guilty pleasure of mine as well? Thanks for the great mini tour of one of my favourite places in NYC. Always learn something from you!
OK, OK...I decided I would watch one video per day, so today I chose the Central Park one. Love it, and find that Central Park is one of the most amazing places on earth, because it amazes me that you could find such a place in the middle of New York City. Whoever decided to put such a place in the middle of the city of New York is one of the greatest minds of the modern world. I'll stop at this point before discussing General Sherman (grrrr...) and hold that for another time...
... he got from the fountain. But, yes, he did tip. Street performers' etiquette I guess. The rest went towards Phil's hot dog. People who work or have worked in resturants are usually the best tippers. Mutual brotherhood or it equates to love. Didn't catch what speakeasy 86 meant in Tom/AK's last video. Maybe Tom is waiting for x amount of subscribers before he uses Patreon.
Tom, you say whatever you want! You are excellent and so full of knowledge, I could listen to you all day! I can’t wait to take an in-person tour of The Greatest City in the World! Signed, a Denverite.
I love this, Central Park is iconic and its history and all the revelations you spoke about are amazing. Next trip to NYC Im booking a tour. You rock! xo
Excellent. If I can ever get back to NYC I want to go on one of your tours. Your closing monologue shamed me - I'm 66 , from Liverpool and didn't know the full story behind Lennon's murder so thank you for that.. Keep 'em coming.
Hey Tom, Love your tours of NYC. I’m a former NYer, born in Queens, and now retired in Panama (the country). You have an incredible knowledge of the history, architecture, etc., mixed with a great sense of humor and energy. You’re doing great work, and please keep the videos coming. My daughter just moved back to Queens, so when I come to visit, maybe I’ll bump into you.
I love that shot of you looking at the city skyline, the juxtaposing of nature and the city, it reminds me of Hopper and how relevant his work is during this pandemic
I was actually asking myself when you would actually make a central park tour. Thank you so much for this. Love your tours. Very informative and funny. Cheers!
27:57 carriages have been removed because of the same horse exhaustion issue on the islands (Princes' Islands) around my town of Istanbul and now there are electric shuttles instead of carriages, which are convenient for the residents and tourists on a hilly island. Less horse-shit smell, no more horse persecution and cheaper ⭐️ This is a great Central Park tour, so much interesting information, thank you Tom, you're the best 🙏👏👏👏
Back in the 70's I saw a free Carol King concert in Central Park. I also attended a few shows at the Schaefer Music Festival. Fun times!! I left New York in 1977 but I visit my mom ( Forest Hills) and Central Park several times a yr.:) Thanks for this informative video!!
Wow! Your wonderful soliloquy at the end really moved me bro. So well said. You have a true profound appreciation of NYC and what makes it great. As an older born and raised New Yorker, (Brooklyn) you represent the new spirit of NYC well. Thanks for your work!
Your videos crack me up every time 😅 and occasionally I even learn a thing or two. Keep 'em coming! Would love to see some tours of the Upper East & West Sides, Harlem, The Bronx, Staten Island etc. Cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
Brother Tom, what’s up? I am originally from Willy B Brooklyn but I’ve been in Philly, Pa since 1988. Man, I absolutely love your channel. Get home from work today, turn on my RUclips, and first up? TomyD! Great tour today man. I only lived in the city for a year and a half. Got a small, very small, taste of the park, but always enjoyed it. How was the hotdog?

I love how a few steps away from the crime scene there is a bunch of teens/kids chilling on a picnic blanket.
Every video of Tom since covid: 'Alright guys RELAX i'm wearing a mask when I go inside you don't need to wear it outdoors ok'
It’s telling that he has to tell the mask mob to “chill out”. Says a lot about people 🤔
lol, not everyone in NYC are sheep.
Plus he’s got the antibodies anyway 😂
Awsome video can i pay you to give me tour
@@tule2955In long island, there's plenty of brain dead sheep's out there
