Let me explain this one!
Soo uhh.. after you spend around 20-45 seconds in a room you trigger a so called „timer spawn.”
It makes any node monster spawn such as:
Angler Pinkie Froger Chainsmoker, Pandemonium, and any 2D monster that’s similar to them.
Sometimes they might appear without warnings.

Pandemonium is not a node monster, only all the Angler variants are. Also, they do not appear without warning, at least not from what I've seen in my 95 deaths. You can see the light flicker in this video as he enters the locker

@@trashcanned1 Pandemonium is a node monster, it just uses two different entities/models; one to go from the spawning point to the end of the room you just opened, and one to chase you if you're seen by the first one's raycasting

devs should actually be able to shoot other entities like angler variants, maybe pandemonium could try to get you out of the locker for less time, doesnt matter. makes the game seem more polished when you realised the turrets will at least try to shoot other entities

@@YouFriendz i just figured this out only a few hours after i posted this, and i probably had one of the rarest encounters to get unintentionally.
a wall dweller managed to sneak up on me because there were turrets hiding the wall dweller's footsteps. the wall dweller was quite literally doing its kill animation on me and through what i was hiding behind, one of the turrets managed to shoot the wall dweller and kill it
